It's disgusting! It's revolting is what it is. My mind doesn't ever want to fathom the fact that slavery exists and neither do I. I only tolerate this while I'm here so I'm not kicked out of Ravok. I am well aware that it exists throughout Mizahar but I swear this has to be one of the worst places for slavery. I do not understand this way of doing things other humans have nor do I want to. What good can come from making a forced servant, pet, or even fighter out of someone? I view all races as equal also and they should be treated as such whether they're human or not. There has been talk of non-humans making slaves out of humans as well. What has Mizahar come to?
I am not one to get wrapped up in religion or politics. However there is always a better way of doing things if people actually take the time to think. Do we really need to be primitive minded? Alas I will continue to keep my mouth shut while I am in this city. I am a bit frustrated at the way life works here for some. Sometimes when I am putting fresh ink on the skin of another human, I hear them ramble on and on about how their religious figures are so great or how they made a slave out of someone. So appalling! To me, it's unthinkable to do that.
If you force someone into slavery, you don't truly value life. Do I need to fully agree with the way others live to get along with them and co-exist beside them in their city? No. Still there's a major lack of morals when things like slavery and public orgies are very legal. I see it all too often during my days here, the corruption that has polluted this city. It's over a year later now since I arrived in Ravok. 'Tis a shame I cannot return to Wind Reach otherwise I would. I have family there which I cannot contact. I don't dare risk sending any letters.
