Well, today is my second day on Mizahar. I completely love it and i can say in full honesty, i am addicted. I have to admit, i was pretty scared to join a new rp site. The last one i was on was to put it nicely, very strict. The mods were sadistic and they had no patience for confused people. I came here and saw how advanced and large this site was and once again got intimidated. I have no problem following the rules, just a hard time figuring them out. Enter Dusk, who has helped me so much. She just came out and said you have no clue what you are doing but i will help. Yes, i am paraphrasing but you get it. She answered all my little newbie questions and i am understanding things marginally more now. She taught me all about the Kelvic race (the race i had chosen) and pointed out to me all the things i needed to tweak on my character page. She even oftered to do my first rp with me which made me feel very welcome. I am now feeling very at home and happy in this new world. Thank you to everyone who helped me. I am very excited to become Kita. |

I long one far off day to reach your lofty heights. I'm still mostly scratching my head at everything. Don't mind me, just figured I'd post a comment, since you didn't have any. I know first hand how lonely starting posts can get. All alone, with no friends... erhm, better stop before I need to cry myself to sleep. |

Hello and welcome, Kita.  We strive to welcome new players to the best of our abilities. Each new person brings a different perspective to the site. It really saddens me when we Founders are too busy to give every newbie the attention they need to get into the game, and they end up slipping away. I'm glad you found the wonderful Dusk to help you out, but feel free to contact us for anything you may need. We are here to help. |

As a fellow newbie, I feel your pain. I spend most of my time scratching my head as well, and fully admit to being in a bit of a "posting paralysis" right now. Which is bizarre because I'm usually a very heavy poster -- last site I was on, I was the 5th highest poster there out of 200+ members (I did 267 posts of 400+ words in a little under 4 months - with this same character). I've looked pretty hard for open topics and there just aren't any that aren't several weeks old in my region of the world, or that wouldn't make my character go wildy OOC. (Site Idea: Have a "Make an Open Topic" Day?) I created an open topic which, for various reasons, seems to have several different kinds of 'fail' written all over it. Starting to wonder if having an ordinary human is not going to work here -- if you don't want to be someone's 'master' or work as an assassin or change into a nifty shape, you're on the outside looking in. Oh well, I'm having fun with the format coding here, it's BRILLIANT, and I have an idea for a nifty scrapbook... |
