I’ve always had a thing for photography. When I was little I would play with my dad’s 30 year old camera. On Mother’s Day, a few years back, when I was holding my parent’s digital camera it just felt right to me. I went out to the woods to take pictures of the creek. I came back into my little apartment and my dad took a look at them. He said they were very good so I kept taking pictures that whole day. Over the past few years I’ve taken some 4,000 pictures. Not all good ones but most of them were. This past summer I’ve spent my time editing a lot of them and selling them to friends and family. Some are hung on walls, some standing upright in frames. I’ve taken pictures of my friends for their parents to hang up in their living room. Ansel Adams was once my inspiration. He said, “In wisdom gathered over time I have found that every experience is a form of exploration,” so I have gone to many places I haven’t been before, even in my own backyard. My experience has shown that every expert was a novice at one point and you just need practice and never give up on your dreams.
