Got together with some friends to watch the DvD rendition of Stephen King's "It" last night. So, while it reminded me that Tim Curry is way cooler than he gets credit for, I found myself disappointed that I'd even bought it. The show seemed so much cooler and creepier when I watched it as a kid, and now i'll forever remember it as that cheesy half-done book to movie release where they butchered the ending horribly.

Anyone have an experience like this? Feel free to mention in the comments if you've tried something recently that isn't nearly as fun now as it was when you were 7.
