A Bit About Me by Charon on March 23rd, 2010, 11:16 pm
So I've never had a blog... ever... anywhere. I figured I'd start here. This will really just be for me to write when I feel the need or share things I'm passionate about. This first blog is more of the latter. Though not me, a bud of mine wrote this and I wanted to share. For those of you who don't know me, my name is James, I currently live in Oklahoma, USA and I'm an officer in the US Air Force. Here's my first blog... There I was at six thousand feet over central Iraq, two hundred eighty knots and we're dropping faster than Paris Hilton's panties. It's a typical September evening in the Persian Gulf; hotter than a rectal thermometer and I'm sweating like a priest at a Cub Scout meeting... But that's neither here nor there. The night is moonless over Baghdad tonight, and blacker than a Steven King novel. But it's 2003, folks, and I'm sporting the latest in night-combat technology. Namely, hand-me-down night vision goggles (NVGs) thrown out by the fighter boys. Additionally, my 1962 Lockheed C-130E Hercules is equipped with an obsolete, yet, semi-effective missile warning system (MWS). The MWS conveniently makes a nice soothing tone in your headset just before the missile explodes into your airplane. Who says you can't polish a turd? At any rate, the NVGs are illuminating Baghdad International Airport like the Las Vegas Strip during a Mike Tyson fight. These NVGs are the cat's ass. But I've digressed. The preferred method of approach tonight is the random shallow. This tactical maneuver allows the pilot to ingress the landing zone in an unpredictable manner, thus exploiting the supposedly secured perimeter of the airfield in an attempt to avoid enemy surface-to-air-missiles and small arms fire. Personally, I wouldn't bet my pink ass on that theory but the approach is fun as hell and that's the real reason we fly it. We get a visual on the runway at three miles out, drop down to one thousand feet above the ground, still... [ Continued ]

Two-Faced People...don't ya just love em? by Arabella Sintos on September 1st, 2009, 6:59 am
I've never really blogged much before so I don't know the whole jazz to it, but I need to rant and vent about something. A topic that has been brought up, two faced people. As of late I was back-stabbed by someone I had thought was a friend of mine, it hurt, of course it did and it made me wonder just how much of our relationship was actual friendship and what was just a bunch of damn lies. Yeah, I might be taking this out of porportion, such a thing can happen when I'm still in the moment of anger but meh, ranting'll help. Won't name names since that won't solve nothing but rest assured it's no one here on this site. I just cannot stand people who sugar coat something, leading you to believe one thing and then stab you in the back, all the while with that stupid fake smile plastered on their face. Isn't it just easier to get the truth out of the way rather then wearing one face with me and then snickering and going to other people about me, hurts more then the cold hard truth would. Right, I'm just rambling, as I said, I don't blog often and am not very good at articulating my thoughts, just had to rant cause it keeps me from crying. To anyone reading this here, if ya ever got something to tell me, just tell it to me straight, don't be two faced cause I absolutely guarantee that will hurt all the more. Not saying that anyone here will of course... So to the once friend I had that backstabbed me, she won't be able to read this but ...immature, yeah but whatever, it helps.

I Don't Get It People ... by Coatl on October 19th, 2009, 8:15 pm
My last blog (that was lost) on this topic was longer; hopefully this version will make sense ... We are roleplaying in the most unique world i've seen in the 'net'. We have races that are more unique than anywhere else. Can someone please explain to me why everyone is trying to twist races in order to create unique PCs? This is not just about the akalak, but about all the races. We have 4 armed freaks, bat winged demons, mad cannibals, undead parasites, and a dimented seal mix that took one deranged soul to come up with We play in a setting that is one part fantasy world, one part wild wild west, and part post holocaust. We have deities running around the surface of the world and actually taking part in the shaping of the world instead hiding out in the heavens. We have a most original magic and gnosis setting that is bar none. I might understand more if we were a game world that had been in existance for many years with hundreds of players logging in and posting daily. In such a world the races and character concepts would be well saturated within game play. But we do not have this in Mizahar. We do not have hundreds of players posting daily and we haven't been around but for a few months. We have a group of creators who spent a long time making sure this world had ample opportunities for all types of playing styles. They created races that should provide months and years of incredible character development along with endless story/adventure possibility. In this environment alone, you are unique! There is no one playing anything like you already. Give the game a chance and at least play the races as they were designed before going off the deep in with wild twists and turns so you can play a race that is nothing like the way the race was intended. Seriously, this game is so new there is no baseline in existance to even know yet how the race would play out. Try it! Embrace it!... [ Continued ]

~<dominatrix>~ by ivy_-_ on July 5th, 2011, 1:37 am
Comments (0) [Delete] [Edit] Dominatrix (plural dominatrixes or dominatrices) or mistress is a woman or women who takes the dominant role in bondage and discipline, dominance and submission or BDSM. A common form of address for a submissive to a dominatrix is "mistress", "ma'am", "domina" or "maîtresse". Note that a dominatrix does not necessarily dominate a male partner; a dominatrix may well have female submissives. The term "domme" ( /ˈdɒm/) is a coined pseudo-French female variation of the slang dom (short for dominant). It stems from the Latin words "dominus" = master, "domina" = mistress. The pronunciation is identical to the term "dom", by analogy to one-syllable French-derived words like femme or blonde. As fetish culture is increasingly becoming more prevalent in Western media, depictions of dominatrices in film and television have become more common. The term dominatrix is sometimes used to describe a professional dominant (or "pro-domme" ) who is paid to engage in BDSM with a submissive. An appointment or roleplay is referred to as a "session", and is often conducted in a dedicated professional play space which has been set up with specialist equipment, such as a "dungeon". In the contemporary era of technological connectivity, sessions may also be conducted remotely by phone, email or online chat.Women who engage in female domination typically promote and title themselves under the terms "Dominatrix", "Mistress", "Lady", "Madame" or "Herrin", with the capitalization of these terms being a signifier to their identification in the dominant role. A study of German dominatrices by Andrew Wilson has noted the trend for dominatrices choosing names aimed at creating and maintaining an atmosphere in which class, femininity and mystery are key elements of their self-constructed identity.Professional dominatrices do... Essays.. "Prejudices Are Necissary" by Engghaen on February 6th, 2014, 3:38 pm
Yay.. I actually love to write essays and, yes... I do so in my free time. Enjoy. Prejudices. We all love them, do we? Truth be told, people are often being judged as 'don't have that much prejudices about people!' This shows that most people see prejudices as a bad thing, because they are being associated with discrimination. If you think Chinese guys are annoying, you'll probably never like one and maybe you can start descriminating them. I personally know a lot of people stuffed full with old, dull prejudices that now do not make this much sense anymore. They have had their best time, but those ideas are still in the minds of who we deal with every day. But why do we have prejudices, anyway?
Well, let me explain that. Prejudices are a very important part of how our brain works. You can call in 'generalisation' too. Imagine yourself, noticing every one thing that happens. That would be an annoying life. What would tests be hard! You would get all nervous and wouldn't be able to concentrate on what you need to do or that horribly tough question. Our brain needs to generalize. We need to be able to focus on what's really important in our lives. We don't only to that when seeing, but also hearing, feeling.. You don't hear everything. You don't feel you're wearing clothes after a while. But we also do this when expressing opinions. If we would look at every single person on our globe, we would go berserk. It's too much information to hold. So, people generalize. They need to add structures to a big heap of information. But often this 'generalization' becomes negative. We develop opinions about certain races, places, hair colours, anything you can recognize an individual with. Sometimes this turns into discrimination, but more often these are prejudices. Prejudices developed by your own brain.
Another cause can be society. It may seem all of us shove causes off to... | [ Continued ]
