A note to all who are posting with me (Or planning to!) by Irriari on July 28th, 2011, 1:02 am
A note to everyone I'm threading with First off, thank you. You are are brave and awesome! I love all of my threads, and I almost can't say no to taking another one on because I get to write with so many great PC's and people. But the real reason I'm typing this is to inform everyone that I am going to be swamped in the near future, for a bit, and then I'll have a good bit of time to get everything caught up and under wraps. So, here's my schedule: August 2-5: Traveling across Peru- most days we have 8-9 hour tours (which is a bit excessive imo), and I have to work on writing a huge paper. August 6-9: Back home, and probably going to be glomped by my significant other and busy resting and unpacking. Also, I'm moving to Orlando full time for fall so I need to grab my ferret and haul his slithery butt back, and get all my clothes to my other apartment. August 5-22nd: This will be that time of more freedom that I talked about!! Huzzah! I'll be busy working on that paper, and prepping for fall, but other than that and sustaining my body with food and rest, I'll be free. August 22nd-??: Fall. Semester. Oh boy. Okay guys, this will be an exercise in masochism. I'm going to be taking more credit hours than ever before (by about 5 or 6), plus my 10 hours a week in lab. (But no job, yay!). So, for the first week or so, I'll be adjusting. But I won't have an hour of driving each way to waste time and gas on. So, tl;dr version: I will be busy at odd rates. Epic quest takes priority, but that's pretty slow posting as of now, so worry not! (I will save Sahova though. *puffs furry chest out*) I am going to do everythingggg I can to keep all my posting in a timely fashion, and if I take more than a week, please PLEASE send me a pm. Sometimes I forget to add a post to my list when I'm busy reading the newest reply. It happens rarely, but it can happen. Thank you for being patient with me. Other than that, happy threading, and I can't wait to keep posting with you all! You're... [ Continued ]

Best Part of the Day by Thundiirn on February 6th, 2013, 9:47 pm
Life's been kinda boring lately. Unemployed (though looking hard!), sitting around while my friends are either at school or work, doing nothing much more than Mizahar all day. And lets be honest, Mizahar is an awesome and fun pasttime, but it shouldn't be your lifetime. Until night comes, and everyone is done with everything, I sit and wait.
There's only one thing really (besides the occasional job interview) that interrupts my daily routine of doing nothing, and that my friends is Mumford. Mumford is enormous. Mumford is unpredictable (he recently decided he hates black people and will bark at and attack them... we aren't sure why, but we can't seem to quell his racist tendencies). Mumford is loud. Mumford is goofy. Mumford is a 10 month old, 90lbs German Shephard/Great Pyrenees mix, who belongs to my best friend but the dog sees me as its second owner since we're around each other so much. Anytime I get the text "Can you watch Mumf while I'm at work today?" I internally go wild and drop everything to make sure I can.
We always start off our doggy bro day with an hourish-long walk around the neighborhood, usually ending up asleep under a tree or on a bench in the nearby park. The only thing that stops us is precipitation, regardless of temperature. He certainly appreciates the exercise, since he lives in a cramped car (my friend, sadly, is homeless at the moment). We chase squirrels together (I have to join in to let him run, because otherwise he won't come back), try and push each other in the lake, and climb around on the kiddie playground, which is waaaay too small for either of us.
We go home, get some food and water for both of us, and then go take a nap together in the back of the car that serves as Mumfy's home until his daddy gets off work, which is where I'm writing this from now. I love this pup, and I hope he and his daddy find a home soon so they can both live with a bit more freedom.

A Foul Smell in Canada by Gunther Zimmerman on August 14th, 2010, 3:55 am
One night I was on a patrol with my platoon. We were conducting a reconnaissance patrol. There was overcast; about 5% illumination, just like there was most days we were in Canada. It had been raining earlier, just like every other day. In fact, it rained nine out of the twelve days we were there; all of which was spent in the field.
At one point in the patrol I had a small "pow-wow" with my squad leaders and platoon sergeant in the middle of the platoon perimeter. I could not see their faces it was so damn dark. I knew my Platoon Sergeant, Sergeant First Class Scott was kneeling next to me because of his breath. He was a smoker and had some of the foulest smelling breath you'd never want to meet. Any who, we conducted our patrol with two recon teams going forward and a surveillance team with a pair of M60 Machine Guns overwatching the objective.
I probed one side of our objective with two security personnel and the Second Squad leader probed the other side while the rest of the platoon remained in the Objective Rally Point (ORP). No, we did not have Night Observation Devices (NODs).
To make a long story short (too late, Gunther), the Squad Leader who probed the other side stepped into a slit trench. If you've ever lived in the woods for extended periods of time you would know what a slit trench is used for. This one had indeed been used and after that event the 2nd Squad Leader's foot smelled worse than the Platoon Sergeant's breath.

Ravok's Been A Little Scary by Thayer on April 3rd, 2013, 2:23 am
Thayer can't wait until she's out of Ravok. She's been travelling for ever, and I know how she feels. Once I had to run a mile and God forbid the wind. Of course that is nothing close to the things Thayer is going through. She's just lost her mother and her broher and father are no where to be seen.
I am thrilled to continue with my newest thread [Travelling To Zeltiva] - Misunderstood Relations. I'm just getting to the part where the wolves come to attack and Thayer is trying her best to bargain and negotiate why she was in their territory.
I am also excited to get skill points whilst playing. I've heard about that and I've read it, and it's welling anxiety in my stomach, I can't bare to wait any longer!
More about me and Thayer's life soon! ;D
