Welcome! (Introduction) by Alstroemeria on October 2nd, 2011, 2:13 am
Alright well I'm am extremley excited because this is my first blog post. EVER! Alright so I wanted to talk a little about my PC Alstroemeria. So here I go: When I first made Alstroemeria, her name was based on an actual flower. It's actually one of my favorite flowers, and I can't help but smile when I see the smile. That same flower represents the joy in me that I love to experience everyday whenever I see it. Symbolism, and such. On the other hand, I can relate to my character a lot because I happen to be very clumsy. And rather paranoid. We're practically like twins in terms of personality. But the whole sense of being weird gives off an essence that I love. Not afraid to be bold and strange half of the time than standing in the lines of the box. Now don't get me wrong because everyone has there own type of style and such. My perspective is more people continue to get bolder and bolder, and weirder and weirder. We all have weird sides to ourselves and they too can be expressed in many different ways. On another note, I am much of a person who is a workaholic but most things can get the best of her. Leaving her awe struck in the moment, then forgetting about everything around her. Sometimes even doing things they aren't supposed to do, but of course will fix it or not. Depending on the situation. But Alstroemeria, in terms of her perspective she'd be living guilt completely. As it eats her alive, and continues to spiral around her soul. In fact, the feeling... | [ Continued ]

~[:]~ appearance ~[:]~ by ivy_-_ on July 5th, 2011, 1:36 am
Ivy appears as a tall, large busted woman with short, white hair. A bluish-purple leotard covers her torso and arms, with patches of the fabric removed to expose her cleavage and various parts of her abdomen. Similar leggings cover her legs midway below her thighs, connected to the leotard by garters at golden metal bands at their peak. A sleeve of the same material covers her right arm and hand, while armor covers her left arm, hand, and shoulder. A smaller pauldron covers her right shoulder, while high heels cover her feet, and a white gloves covers her right hand. The left shoulder pauldron incorporates the Tudor Rose, a traditional heraldic symbol of England, while the plates of the armor were designed to resemble the links of her sword.A mask covering the right side of her face and eye were also considered but abandoned after the initial character concept. While her design has been altered slightly as the series has progressed, the concept has remained consistent throughout the series, with the exception of the removal of the glove in later designs. Ivy stands 1.79 m (5 ft 10 in) tall, making her the series' tallest female character.Ivy's alternate character designs in the games are a contrast to her primary designs, with the secondary from Soulcalibur to Soulcalibur III consisting of countess attire of either blue or red pants, vest, and jacket, with white boots covering her feet and her hair combed back. In Soulcalibur II, a tertiary alternate design was added consisting of a red leotard and gloves with gold trimming, with red stockings on her legs; in addition, a fourth design resembling her appearance at the conclusion of Soulcalibur was considered, incorporating a cloak and the symbol of caduceus on the front of her leotard cupping her breasts, but was unused. In Soulcalibur III, a long, rose-themed dress with hat and veil was used as a tertiary alternate, one of several considered designs.[14] For Soulcalibur IV, a similarly themed black dress was used as her... If you don't do well the first time, Try again. by Melanee Tolyn on January 16th, 2013, 3:35 am
Nobody is perfect, believe me when I say that and among us personally, a lot of us feel we have failed in a RolePlaying community. I am not gonna lie, I have just recently. But what do you do? Give up? Of course not! Try, try and try again. It takes a lot of thought to make a character not just here on Mizahar but anywhere and some of us don't want to do all that thinking. So we make a character and it doesn't go ANYWHERE. It just sits there like a big mess. So what though. You have the option of deleting your character or not. But after roaming a bit here, you feel like you got the hang of things better right? So go ahead and make a character that was better then your first. Things get destroyed for a reason, so you can make it better then the first time. Never give up, because soon you will be on top of world and your going to look good while standing there..Or dancing there. Pointers for character making:*Make sure everything is organized. If your character isn't organized, people won't even take the time to read it. *Think ahead of time. If your a little short on time, don't rush to make your character. Get off the computer and relax. Daydream or write out your character before hand. It helps and saves time once you get back on, because you already know what you want to put into text. *If you are having a hard time to think of a plot for your character and description. Read the Races Thread. It honestly does help. Then after doing so think of something you read in a book or seen on T.V. and put it together. *Making a bunch of characters isn't going to help if you keep failing. Compare all your characters and look for what seems to be the problem. Or Compare and Contrast. Still can't figure it out? Ask a friend or even ask around on the forums. There will be someone willing to help you. Once you figure it out either fix one of the characters or... [ Continued ]

What should a blog be named? by Miles on February 24th, 2013, 2:33 pm
Hi.
I'm Percy, I write for a guy named Miles, and in an effort to feel a bit more included here in Mizahar, I am writing a blog. This will be a dive into whatever is on my mind, which strangely enough I don't really outlet all that much.
So let's see. I know! History.
I've been a "roleplayer" for probably about fifteen years, maybe even longer, as I was a chatroom roleplayer when AoL was new and exciting. There's something about writing that makes me feel relaxed and complete, something I guess is shared by this community. I've played table top (it was my first love) done the chat rp, and was introduced to messageboard rp through that. Some really involved games back then had a message board component, where one could develop a character through message board stories. I loved the idea of playing a character "in real time" in a chat, and then having the option of fleshing the character out by writing stories.
Either way, I've played MMOs, MUDded, and just about everything else to try to quench my thirst for writing, and it always comes down to this: I need story. I need to write, and more than that, I need people to see my writing, to read me, to share with. This is why I'm not pretending to be a novelist, or scrawling notes in a super private notebook.
Ok, ok. That's enough for now.
