I like rp'ing 'cause it challenges you as a writer. Instead of everything going exactly as you planned inevitably, you have to work to get things to where you want to go, basing responses on how the other person(s) respond to your post. If things go differently, or wrong, it's up to you to fix it and often you get caught up in the story and you have to go "Oh jeez, what to do now?" and start to imagine what you would do if you were in the character's shoes. It's really fun for me and it's exciting to develop new ideas with other people and create a whole story that's all your own. When I found out about this website I was like "Oh look, this one seems fun." because it was a whole website with so much originality, versus the usual dwarves, elves, etc. There are many rules/guidlines to follow that keeps the originality and I like that. I love that the races are so unique and that the founders actually interact with the other players. I've never been on a site where that happens, and so often too! When I first got here, I didn't really know what to do so I did what I was best at, reading and researching. I learned about all the different types of races and places and.. well.. places within the places. The website is so organized that it was really easy to get around. The other players here are really helpful, such as the person who first told me I needed a character sheet before I could start playing, and the other person who helped me with editing my character sheet. My first friend here was Eri, he's a ethaefal. He was supposed to be my first threading partner as well but he had to go away for a bit, though he did give me some threading insight. Using what I knew from what he told me, I went to seek out a new rp'ing partner. That's where I found Strix, the new Kelvic in Wind Reach.
