Stories by Malia on July 27th, 2010, 6:50 pm
I’ve badly neglected Mizahar for the last few days. I didn’t have any particular reason, or rather, I have, but that doesn’t really count as a reason for me. I have time because it’s summer holidays here. I have time because my grandma hasn’t yet finished what we need to get started on our big project, so I’m merely waiting for her at the moment. I have time because I don’t have anything to do except reading books for my thesis, playing the violin and going for a walk or swimming once in a while.
But something has kept me from Mizahar: stories. Recently I’ve rediscovered my love for epic stories. About a week ago I’ve attended a manga and anime convention, an event that revolves around those two-dimensional people on the page and screen. As always, I’ve seen amazing things. I’ve watched a few episodes of a new anime – and went home to watch some more episodes. Then I started reading more manga again and found one I enjoyed. I knew that it had been turned into an anime as well, so I went to watch the anime. And got hooked from the first episode on. Since then, my creativity and art has taken a lot of inspiration from that anime and some other amazing stuff I’ve been reading and watching.
During that, something else has happened. One day I’ve found myself with nothing to write and nothing to do, so my mind kind of made up one of those crazy stories I’d never show anyone else. Not even my best friend. I don’t know how people will react to such crazy stuff, but a part of me doesn’t want to find out. I write those stories for my own enjoyment. They aren’t meant to be rewritten, criticized or published, they are meant as a pastime to fight boredom. That’s the only reason I can recall that I’ve started writing: out of simple boredom. Anyway, I’ve started writing that story. That day I didn’t have anything else to do, so I started writ... | [ Continued ]

I'm Always Outside by Gossamer on June 14th, 2009, 8:33 pm
Well, I'm usually outside when I'm posting things, so I thought I'd show you exactly where I'm at when I am posting. Now mind you, this little area isn't quite done. It needs some shelves for potted plants, some wall decorations (I'm thinking a fountain!) and a little shelf to put my stereo on because its almost always going out there as well. This is the small slab of concrete by my garage. I'm going to paint the cement there too, in a hand done carpet type scenario. We got the patio furniture super cheap... we had a half off coupon while Matt worked at the DC and bought it end of season while it was half off anyhow (so we paid like 1/4 of its actual worth). He won the fire pit for going 200 days being safe without an accident at the same place. I just recently got the shepards hooks which I totally love. One has an enormous flower basket on it (which I love) and ones got a bird feeder that's always cleaned out. The view opposite the building is my lawn overlooking the pasture. The two twin evergreens are going to have twinkle lights in them to illuminate the place at night. There's a larger firepit on the lawn (perfect for dancing around) and the small run near the pad (you can see it between the garage and barn) usually has a horse in it to eat down the grass when we are outside. I'm trying to slowly get my home so that going and being home is like a vacation onto itself. This is looking at it from my front porch. The other view is looking at the seating area by the barn.

First Blog: A small Poem by Nayato on December 30th, 2009, 8:29 am
Well I think I'll kick start this with a poem I wrote. I really have no name for it because I made it randomly and it just sounded nice haha. Time can only stop when Imagination fades, As Cold desert Spring' leaves To the songs of winters grace.
My heart roams free in its vast embrace, the glows of the firefly's array. Snow falling high in the starlit sky
When dragons fly to forested skies, begins the first line. As time moves on the world fades to black
For we are but a dream in a child's eye.

And you thought you had it bad.... (Snow Pics!) by Gossamer on January 10th, 2010, 11:53 pm
Pics of my Mom's cousin's Place in Carrol, Iowa. These are my... second cousins (?) Jean and Wayne. Great people. Don't egg their house. You gotta love it. I'm really glad I'm not there.
