Character Theme Song by Banir Ironwood on February 6th, 2012, 3:32 am
. . . . I'm a little pissed off at this I must admit. I thought it be best to get it out with righting so here I am...doing my thing. I've lately been attempting to find a theme song for my character Banir Ironwood. I say attempting because I've yet to be successful so I'm kinda pissed. Banir is bloody hard for me to figure out. See most songs, and people, stick with a theme. Banir however has a few problems with themes, one he doesn't have much of one. Two he's got more depth than most characters I've made till now. Banir isn't a depressed kinda guy, he's actually really nice, kind, caring and gentle. But he's got a past that has made him as dangerous as he appears to be despite being more of a gentle giant kinda guy. When certain points involving his past art brought up.... well to say the s**t hits the fan is a good description. Going from nice and peaceful to a f**king almost unstoppable monster hell bent on destroying anything before it. IE: Berserk. And because of these two elements, which can and usually mix. Its hard to find a song that suits the brutish son of a b***h. Cause if it sounds too depressing it won't work, if its too filled with rage and power, it won't work. It kinda has me walking with my hands tied to my feet...and I'm bent over backwards. What I need is a song that starts out slow, upbeat and cool and maybe gets a little power near the end with tints of rage. Mind you its not too hard to find but then the f**king lyrics don't match and its alllllll the way back to square one. I swear my ears will bleed by the end of this, but for now I shall do as they did in Pirates! (Lame I know but you think of a better analogy) Fight! To runaway, to fight later~! Or...something like that... Run away!

Opening Day Excitement! by Gossamer on August 2nd, 2009, 3:21 am
Well, now that its all said and done, it seems Tarot had to work the hardest - thanks for everyone who helped figure out bugs and joined up wanting to play. I just had to sit by and answer a ton of questions. And truthfully, you all were easy on me! Thanks! Now, switching gears... In the middle of the 'grand opening', Gillar and I went up north and hit Shipwreck beads - a massive bead store to meet a very lovely young woman (brownlikewoah) who had a rooster that needed a home. It's so awful that people can't keep them in the city because of ordinances. They are a joy to wake up to in the morning when they crow. Mine don't crow yet, but the neighbors do! Right now our roosters talk with the best of them... but anyhow, in the middle of the excitement we met her up in Lacey to pick up this young Americana rooster. I think we're gonna call him Goblin. Wow.. I saw pictures of him before, but I didn't realize how beautiful he is. I spent an hour today just petting and spending time with him and couldn't stop marveling at how many colors he has. I'll post up a pic or two in a minute. Okay, this Rooster is so gorgeous I can't even begin to describe him. The pics don't do him justice... seriously. I posted some I took today and one his mom took and sent to me when we were deciding if he should come live with me. I got some close ups of his feathers too. He's like this neat slate blueish gray, feathers ringed with white, then he goes into a rust red and gold, followed by a purple layer, then more slate blue. He's pretty scared in the first pic. He doesn't like being by himself while the chickens play outside without him. ... [ Continued ]

Parents- Are they really that bad? by Lavine on April 21st, 2013, 11:08 pm
Is it just me, or do parents have a bad rap? My own mom must just be extra cool, but I love hanging out with her. Just the other day, we were taking our dog on a walk together. We were talking, enjoying the scenery, and having a generally good time, but I could feel the eyes on us. One kid laughed, -literally laughed and pointed!- as we passed by. I might just be paranoid, but I feel like it wasn't a coincidence.
Then, later that day, we were at the mall. I stumbled across a couple of people from school (I wouldn't say friends necessarily...) but I waved regardless. One of them waved back, while the others just gave me the "jock nod". I nodded at my mom and headed over to talk to them, maybe ask a question about homework, nothing much really. But all three steered around me and went the other way. They clearly thought they were too cool to talk to me. I felt slightly miffed, they had gone out of their way to avoid me! My mom noticed this, and being quite protective, waved energetically. She shouted across the mall, "Hey! Don't you know those kids? Hi!!" All three kids gave me a horrified look and stumbled away as fast as they could possibly go without being caught by the mall cops.
I gave my mom a single look and we both fell into stitches. I laughed until my stomach hurt and tears streamed down my face. We had to stop in the food court and sit down. People from every side got up and left because we were making too much noise. I have never felt so proud of my mother in my life.
These are only a few examples. We have been out on countless occasions where my mom was the highlight of the trip. This makes me wonder, does everyone else really hate their parents, or do they just act like it? The world may never know...
