'Looking Up' Lyrics by Neyasi Tillandsia on January 11th, 2014, 11:46 pm
Ooh ooh Yeah eh yeah Oh oh
Glorious light, beautiful day, youth so young, love so strong It feels so far away, I want so badly for it to stay But I feel the pain, and I can’t feel the knife Why should I stay if there’s no one left?
Now here I stand, looking down, looking down You try to take my hand, and tell me I’m beautiful But your words don’t have any meaning But you say
“God has a way, and there is a light Beautiful child, blessed child, we’re all part of this world And life’s too short, so short, and you’ll never want to give it up Once you start to love again”
I see their faces, see their gazes And I don’t wanna believe it’s true But I must be a monster, I must be a stranger So why are you still here?
I’m still standing here, looking down, looking down You try again to take my hand, and tell me I’m special But I still can’t hear your words But you say
“God has a way, and there is a light Beautiful child, blessed child, we’re all part of this world And life’s too short, so short, and you’ll never want to give it up Once you start to love again”
This world’s so cold, and the days are dark But you stand there like there’s a light I never knew I missed And suddenly I can’t hold the blade any longer ‘Cause I know that when my world’s changing, you’re always there
And I’m standing here, looking up, looking up You take my hand, and tell me you love me for me And your words seem so clear, it must be God And you say
“God has a way, and there is a light Beautiful child, blessed child, we’re all part of this world And life’s too short, so short, and you’ll never want to give it up Once you start to love again
Have faith in me Have faith in Him You’re gonna fall in love someday”
I don’t need their approval I don’t want their goody-goody fee... [ Continued ]

Theme Song by Banir Ironwood on October 26th, 2011, 2:24 am
Good afternoon whomever reads this! I've read through a much of Mizhar, why people are here, what their doing. The devastating history of Mizhar, the struggles of people, personal and physical alike. For those of you who know or have ever heard of Rise Against then many know some of their songs often have a similar portrayal of the theme of Mizhar. The song I've personally found to match this quite well is Prayer of the Refugee, its lyrics are quite accurate in its theme, if you don't believe me then here have a go! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PD_rWVTd0mkLyrics for those who do not wish to listen: Warm yourself by the fire, son, And the morning will come soon. I'll tell you stories of a better time, In a place that we once knew. Before we packed our bags And left all this behind us in the dust, We had a place that we could call home, And a life no one could touch. Don't hold me up now, I can stand my own ground, I don't need your help now, You won´t let me down, down, down! Don't hold me up now, I can stand my own ground, I don't need your help now, You won´t let me down, down, down!Down! We are the angry and the desperate, The hungry, and the cold, We are the ones who kept quiet, And always did what we were told. But we've been sweating while you slept so calm, In the safety of your home. We've been pulling out the nails that hold up Everything you've known. Don't hold me up now, I can stand my own ground, I don't need your help now, You won´t let me down, down, down! Don't hold me up now, I can stand my own ground, I don't need your help now, You won´t let me down, down, down! So open your eyes child, Let's be on our way. Broken windows and ashes Are guiding the way. Keep quiet no longer, We'll sing through the day, Of the lives that we've lost, And the lives we've reclaimed. GO ! Don't hold me up now, I can stand my ... [ Continued ]

My Faults. by Amondaris on March 21st, 2011, 4:44 pm
So yeah. Bloggity stuff.
I played here a while ago, sometime back last Summer. Some of you may or not remember me, I wouldn't blame you if you didn't. I wasn't around too long and didn't make much of an impact. But I'm back now, and I hope to stay. I really do, Mizahar is a great place, with great people, and a great setting.
Last time I was around, I didn't stay so long. I've told most of you that this was because of college burying me under work, which is true, but there was another reason. I wasn't particularly well received, as a person, especially in the chat. This was due to my rough manner in which I interacted with people. Which I found bitterly amusing, as some of the very people which I offended were extremely abrasive and sharp with anyone they didn't already know and like, which I still think is a bit..I don't know. Hypocritical. But hey. Humans. We're a faulty bunch. I know I have so many it's silly.
Now, personally, the way in which I interact with people is just fine. Sure, I have plenty of bite to my banter, but it's all in good humour and I don't mean one bit of harm in it. It's just how I get on. It's how my family gets on, extended included. We mock each other mercilessly, embarrass each other and generally tear each other to pieces humourously. I have become painfully aware of how unusual this mode of interaction is, outside of my family. I've always had a reputation as a pretty mean guy, and as being a fellow you don't mess with. I attributed this to my height and general appearance, as well as my hostile demeanour. I wasn't always friendly and pleasant, I'm aware of this. I was young(er), I was angsty and I thought my life sucked and that I had every right to be angry. I did, and I didn't, in a way. I did, because to me, my life did suck. Ever since I was a kid, I was picked on... | [ Continued ]

The snow, the light, the smell. by Yrpa on December 3rd, 2010, 9:45 pm
Everything I love about this upcomming season! The snow that lies over everything and brings light in the dark without glowing and makes a perfect playground! Christmas is my ultimate favorite holiday of the year, I live in Iceland, witch some refer to as the christmas country, because in middle of November, people starts putting christmas lights on their houses, sometimes the whole streets are decorated, the light posts and every tree in the street etc. And all this just to overcome the heavy darkness that lies over the country in december, bleak and cold might be the rightful description of Iceland in this month of Christmas, but the people make it the warmest time of year, everything is filled with christmas spirit and traditions. For example, Iceland doesn't only have one santa, but they have 13 of them, or Jule lads like some like to call them. And they arrive one by one from 12th of december until the 24th and each give the children small presents in a shoe they put in their window I just have to express my love over christmas here with you and share my joy! I mean, snow, christmas lights, baking smell, the food and everything else connected to the christmas! Have a peaceful December everybody

Shout Out! by Sturlin on April 15th, 2010, 3:38 pm
I've only been on the website for about a month but I really am enjoying it. I've started turning into a posting machine, which should be credited entirely to other people who have made it so much fun to play. I just want to thank three people in particular today. (Not to neglect all the other wonderful people on the website!)
I know it is hard to read the work of everyone on the website, but I suggest you go to the character sheet forum and search these folks names. They are talented writers and fun storytellers.
Samael: A really nice guy who cornered me when he found out I wasn't posting with anyone and got me to dive right into playing with other people. Probably the perfect player for a noob to start out with.
Miharu: The woman who pulled me out of my little box to interact with other people in the chat room. Oh and she makes my amount of posting seem paltry. We joined at nearly the same time and she's -still- at double my posts and words? This woman is a machine. (A cute machine, as I am sure she would be quick to correct me.
Gossamer!: I just wanted to let everyone know that for someone who has been here since the start of the site, she doesn't show it. We may not have been open for as long as many other sites, but the work load I have seen these storytellers handle is impressive. As a founder, she still has the patience and enthusiasm I would expect from someone starting their first day on the site. Everyone who can should be sure to thank her for her contributions, and any other storyteller who has brightened your day. Have you hugged a storyteller today?
Well I had planned to keep this much shorter, you know how bad I am at this blogging business. As a little note, be sure to check out my original link to see Takeshi the komodo dragon assassin.
