I know we all experienced some sort of bullying in our lives. At school, in our neighborhoods or even at work!
A lot of us even try to get away from it and one of those methods of getting away, without hurting ourselves, is RolePlaying.
But little do we know bullying takes place in forums like these. I don't think it is very fair to those who are trying to get away from it, have to deal with it in a place of fantasy and dreams. But that is just my opinion. But how do you know who the bully is in a RolePlaying forum? Or how do you deal with them?
Well even though identifying a bully while Roleplaying can be hard, they leave trails and sometimes big messy ones.

Here are some signs of Identifying a bully;

1. Constant God-Moding. For those who don't know what God-Moding is when someone's character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries. A common example of this would be someone dodging your
EVERY move. Constant God-Moding is a good way of putting you down and making you look pathetic when you're not.
Usually younger players are affected by this.

2. Putting you down, OOC and In-Character.
Though how do you know when they are doing it In-Character if they are RolePlaying? There is a difference between RolePlaying enemies and trying to get to you personally through their character. It is up to you
to decide if they are trying to put you down through In-Character.

3. Spamming. If they are spamming your post with theirs when they shouldn't be, it is most likely because they want to annoy you and pick on you. The spamming can contain a wide range of things. Sometimes even be blank
to just fill up your notifications.

So now you know some good ideas for identifying a bully but how do you deal with one?

It is odd how luck can determine your actions.

I believe that there is no such thing as luck or bad luck; instead we and our thoughts are the ones shaping the world around us. Sometimes I watch the happenings unfold, though, and ask myself why here and now? What is so special about this day?

Recently activity as Malia has stagnated a bit. She has a bunch of threads from last season, but all of those are moving quite slowly. I’m grateful because I can play with awesome writers in exchange of a little waiting time, but it gives me nothing to do. I take fluid time a lot more seriously than I used to some time ago. I guess the future psychologist shows through here. Everything that happens in threads is an important part of the character’s individual development. Continuing the new season without knowing where the threads from last season will go might result in posts that do not seem to follow the rules of fluid time in a realistic way.

For example, Malia’s first thread was an encounter with Tanroa at the temple. The thread took several months to finish. Meanwhile I wrote in other threads that were dated later. So, when I finished the Tanroa thread, I suddenly found Malia with a purpose and a mission I had never mentioned in the threads afterwards! Back then I didn’t mind, but I don’t want that to happen again. It’s kind of ridiculous.

So, Malia is pretty much blocked apart from some training I can and want to do regardless.

And like a river carving out a new bed when the old one is no longer available, my creativity redirects itself towards a different character ... I find myself dusting off Aselia and prettifying her CS. I think it’s the third comeback she has now ... but I don’t mind. As long as I have fun, I absolutely don’t mind.

This is exactly the situation that usually causes me to think: Why do I mind the rest of my time? I guess the mere fact that I have that thought proves that I’m slowly getting better at ‘not minding’. Which is good.

For the sake of becoming immersed in the world of Mizahar, I instinctively have urges to talk about what I'm describing as if it were part of my own world and that I am experiencing the realities of that world in the present- or perhaps I'm attempting to integrate myself in the miz world itself. As I build Endrykas description I feel this urge for present tense the most. It excites me to write like this because I get an amazing rush of having experienced it as much as my character themselves would experience it being there. The best part about enjoying creative writing for me has been knowing that this will someday be the inspirational soil that other player characters will sprout from to create their own unique branches of stories and miz world events.
