One can dodge bullets, catch flies in mid-air, dodge and maneuver around complex attacks, catch falling objects, block detriments, and normally react instantaneously to what others take more time to react to. If a subject attempts to punch the user, the user could dodge the hit and retaliate before the first person even gets a hit in, all doing so involuntarily. May be caused by Precognition, seeing future events.

The Future In Spring by Malia on March 13th, 2010, 2:48 pm
(written on Thursday, March 11th) How can a single day be so happy? How can someone spend a week or more in a daze, a mixture of sadness, boredom and hopelessness and then suddenly jump from the bottom to the top of emotions? Anyway, it’s happened to me. Today. Actually the day didn’t start out that good (failed the maths exam), but recently I’ve been taking delight in translating Latin and Greek texts more and more. It’s so exciting, the epic tales of Homer as well as the scientific descriptions, although it seems they’ll be about medicine for a while now. I’m perfectly fine with that though. It’s amazing what those ancient cultures already knew! It makes our culture pale in comparison, because although we have better technologies we haven’t come far ahead. It’s all thanks to the middle age ... Anyway, I did Latin homework in the English lesson, because our teacher had been absent. Then I smiled about my Ancient Greek teacher’s incredibly inspiring interpretation of the Odyssey – it’s the part of Odysseus’ crew being enchanted and transformed into pigs by Kirke. He has pointed out that many elements of the whole Odyssey have symbolic character as well which means for the Kirke story ... men are pigs? At least those did behave like pigs – before being enchanted. Then I ice skated ... hadn’t been doing it for a while, because the location is only open at Sundays. Of course, they open for school classes during the week. The advantage was that we had more space for fewer people. It was heaven ... and a bit of hell at the same time, because it was cold and I wasn’t used to the following exhaustion anymore. I’ll definitely return this Sunday! The best part of my Thursdays ALWAYS is the double psychology lesson with that incredibly funny and competent professor. I’d guess that she’s in her fifties, her hair is of a beautiful white I’ve never seen before, and when she wears skirts (which she often does) she seems to move like a dancer. Maybe it’s just my imagination, hehe. I... [ Continued ]

Freedom!! by Book__wyrm on January 11th, 2010, 10:03 am
At long last, the email has arrived! The one I've been waiting for my whole life! I haven't been living until now! OK, I'm being overly dramatic. But this means that I'm going to summer camp to study probability and game theory. Whoot! (Yes, I'm a certified nerd. ) The best part is that my parents aren't allowed to come. 4 weeks without my parents. Good enough for me. And, I'm starting online classes on Wednesday. We've paid in advance for 6 months, so if I finish it earlier, I can do cryptology free of charge. This is why I really, really like the CTY program. On a side note, I've made the debating team. This is a good week for me IRL.

The snow, the light, the smell. by Yrpa on December 3rd, 2010, 9:45 pm
Everything I love about this upcomming season! The snow that lies over everything and brings light in the dark without glowing and makes a perfect playground! Christmas is my ultimate favorite holiday of the year, I live in Iceland, witch some refer to as the christmas country, because in middle of November, people starts putting christmas lights on their houses, sometimes the whole streets are decorated, the light posts and every tree in the street etc. And all this just to overcome the heavy darkness that lies over the country in december, bleak and cold might be the rightful description of Iceland in this month of Christmas, but the people make it the warmest time of year, everything is filled with christmas spirit and traditions. For example, Iceland doesn't only have one santa, but they have 13 of them, or Jule lads like some like to call them. And they arrive one by one from 12th of december until the 24th and each give the children small presents in a shoe they put in their window I just have to express my love over christmas here with you and share my joy! I mean, snow, christmas lights, baking smell, the food and everything else connected to the christmas! Have a peaceful December everybody

Stargazer by Alistair deGrey on December 27th, 2009, 8:20 am
Secreted away in a shadowed Planet, it finds itself reawakening, As it’s painted in vibrant shades By ever solemn souls And laid bare, By her ever solemn hands. As unfathomably earthed beneath iron glass As it is, an abject memory offered to her, Accompanied with crimson pulsations; throbbing For an audience with the contemplations of Its conception.
Now, she breathes life back into these dying stars So threads of emotion thrum behind them, Like so many chords in a sickly cantata Reverberating through its catatonic Wires.
Her eyes that entreat nothing of life; Requiring nothing of me, the mute. But still glittering silver, reflecting My inquiries about when Eternity Will eventually end, how we will Break like obsidian shatters when struck, And be buried together in a world Of silhouetted sleep.
