Give me rawr-rawrs? by Shapiksoa on January 9th, 2012, 9:29 pm
Well, the title has nothing to do with the blog. XD I just wanted to write a blog and was as uncreative as possible (at least for me), so I went with that name. This is my first ever blog. So I'm going to mark this down somewhere because I once said I would never ever blog, just as I once said I would most likely never roleplay again before I joined Mizahar about a year ago, and look-see! Here I am on Mizahar, having joined the last month! This will probably be some random rambling blog. I've not done one before so I'm going to assume you can just blog about anything and it'll be okay. ^^ Well, I'm going to blog about writing, as that's a big thing in my life, and how much I appreciate Mizahar and all it's awesome ideas and the way it functions. Well, I started writing wayyyyy back when I was probably eight or nine. Not writing for school or anything, because I think kids start that when they are in kindergarten or at least grade one. No, instead I would write in loose-leaf at home and kind of allow people to read what I wrote, because back then no one ever openly judged you based on your writing. I can barely remember anything I did write. I for sure recall one story about a room in a cave with walls covered with feathers (this is totally where my obsession with feathers came from). That story was long ago though and while I recall small details, it is largely lost. I wrote a lot as I grew up and my room was almost always messy because of all the sheets of loose-leaf I had laying around covered in words. I wrote by moonlight, I wrote on the washer, I wrote while I was supposed to be asleep. Not many people caught me, but eventually they would catch me off guard and I'd be forced to throw away what I wrote. My family grew very judgemental of me. As I grew older, they began to call my stories "emo" and "stupid", so I stopped showing them it. I ended up hiding them when people would come into rooms because as far as I was concerned, writing was... [ Continued ]

Mizahar by Alric Wilmot on January 8th, 2012, 12:29 am
This blog i think, will be a bit rambley. I don't like to rant, as I think it is rather unhealthy to dwell on the evils and injustices that may be handed to you. But I do enjoy rambling. Talking and writing about inconsequential things that just make you happy or feel good about the state of the world. It is a rare thing, to read about something good that's happened on the news or to a friend in a letter. I haven't really posted as often as I would have liked the past few weeks. I've been busy with one thing or another. Job hunting, helping my family, applying for the new semester at college, etc., etc. But you know, I'm kind of glad for that. I got to take a break from Mizahar for a while, and immerse myself elsewhere. A friend of mine joined the Marines a while back, and I've finally gotten around to writing letters with him. He's probably my best friend, and I was immensely glad to get back in touch with him. My Cousin got married, hard to believe for me, we're only five years apart. Honestly, I don't think I'm that immature, though undoubtedly some will disagree , but marriage still seems so far off. Anyway, she really did marry a great guy. So I can't be too surprised she fell in love with him so fast. Anyway, as great as those things are, I thought I'd blog mainly about something else today. My appreciation for Mizahar. You see, while I was out and about( actually still am, but its dying down as the month progresses), I didn't have a lot of time to post, but I did have a lot of time to read. And read I did. And I think I really came to appreciate all the hard work and creativity that went into this site. The founders, the players, the Storytellers, they all work together amazingly well. And while there... | [ Continued ]

Picture Perfection by Banir Ironwood on January 4th, 2012, 11:44 pm
For those of you, if there is any, who are reading this you may notice that my profile pictures kinda suck. Well dearest reader allow me to explain why. I draw my own pictures but there is a small catch. I'm not all that good, I try to get more into realism but it ends up looking like....well if a cartoonist, manga drawer, and realist had a child. It would look like my drawings. When I was very young my first grade teacher basically forced anime down our throats. But in contrast to this my mother was naturally talented in drawing realism. So I learned from both ends but I don't have a real middle ground. And since anime is easier to draw (sometimes) I do that more often than not. I kinda suck at that too so yeah. But I am kinda happy about how it turned out. At least it doesn't look as bad as my last one.
Anyway moving on. I'm thinking about asking someone else to draw the picture of Banir. I personally have this image of him with his hood down standing so that he's on an angle. His head looking off to the right with his dirty green coat moving in the wind and with a bit of snow falling. That would look SO epic! I might even attempt to draw that if I don't fall flat on my face about it.

My Life? by IceHeart on December 30th, 2011, 9:54 pm
I'm Emma and I am currently in Secondary School, or Middle School. I live with my three brothers, Mum and Dad near London, England and am very happy. I love fantasy and writing about it. I am currently writing a book called Something in the Soul, it is all about elves (Dark, Wild and Wood), humans and other creatures. I will probably be posting the story up some time or another, but I am only on Chapter Four, so yeah. Still time for it to fail . I am also hoping to write a sequel called The War for Fallelu. When I am older, I would love to be a history teacher for Secondary School/Middle School. I LOVE to read, and have just finished Wonderstruck (Brian Selsnick) in about forty minutes. I also like to write poetry and draw manga, anime, general chibi, cute stuff. My favourite type of music is-here comes the relentless scorn - Disney. My favourite band is probably The Beatles, Queen or ELO. So yeah! There's my life I guess...
