Sabriel was a beautiful, beautiful protagonist, and I will always love her dearly. And the cat. I love the cat.<br /><br />The magic system of that world was perhaps the most interesting one I have come across. The ability to ring a set of bells in a bandolier to create different affects... Like, oh. my. gosh.<br /><br />Frankly, I loved it. If I had never played a Metroid game, or watches Aliens, Sabriel would have, without a doubt, been the first object of a girl crush. She was, and actually still is, a favourite character of mine.<br /><br />You guys are right, the third book is lacking. In fact, it is kind of, dare I say it, dull, when compared to the first and second. I still swallowed the words greedily however and grew all excited in some points when the action was picking up.<br /><br />Anyway, to cap it off, the Abhorsen series will be right at the top of my all time favourite books. <img src="./../../images/smilies/smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /> I&#039;m so glad to have seen this topic and that others have enjoyed them as much, maybe even more, than I have.';
