A half-collapsed city of alabaster and gold fiercely governed by Eypharians. Even partially ruined, it is the crown of the desert and a worthy testament to old glories and rising powers.

"Thank you, friend. Yahal is the main divine entity of your people, right? I heard about him a lot of times from the merchants but never had the chance to know him better, could you tell me about..."
Suddenly the fatigue of my travel returned, striking my body like a sand storm. My mind became blurry and I could think only about resting. I gathered my strengths to don't demonstrate my tiredness, fearing that it could offend my new friend.
"Sorry, this city is really breath taking, isn't it? I guess the questions can be made later, now we need to find somewhere to camp. Do you know where is the appropriate place?" |

His head shook up and down readily at the man's words, though as the sentence broke off his smile faltered for a moment as worry creased across his brow. Haben moved closer to the Chaktawe, offering an arm in support incase he needed it.
"Of course, you have traveled quite far after all. You are welcome to enjoy the comforts of the tents of my father"

"Am I? Oh, well, I mean, if it is not much trouble to you and your father I will gladly accept your offer."
That was a great offer, camping near someone else is always safer than alone. Although I only met this man little time ago, I can feel from his words that he is honorable man, so I have no reason to refuse his offer but...
"But wait, you came to visit this city, do not you? I can not make you do a trip back your home just because of me..."
oocNo need to worry, I made you wait weeks for me as well.

"Think nothing of it, there is always tomorrow to spend in the city, and my father's tents will graciously welcome another to join in the nights gathering friend" Haben said with a smile, patting Satish on the shoulder in gesture even as he spared a glance over his shoulder across the sands were the tents of his family rested beyond sight. Awkward apologies would have to be made, his return with guest complicating matters further, but he would not see a man who braved the deserts solo come to the city only to be robbed by a eypharian swindler.
"Come, food to fill your belly and rest awaits you" He added as he turned to start off towards his tents, walking slow at first to see if the Chaktawe would fall into step beside him. |

"I'll gladly accept repayment in tales, such things are valuable by the fireside" He answered.
Across the desert they traversed with the sun passing in the sky over their heads, casting odd shapes in the sand that flowed just beneath his sandaled feet. He could see hints of smoke from his families fires, the nights preparations already well underway. Perhaps he would spare the time to dance with his sister tonight, he could use some practice in it after all. Perhaps Satish wouldn't understand their customs, but at the very least he would know their hospitality and perhaps return it in kind with tales from his own lands. Stories to pass by the fireside where a valuable thing after all indeed.
"Welcome to the tents of my father Satish" |

I found myself again on those burning sands of the desert seeking my destiny, but this time I had a friend to guide me. After a while I saw smokes rising to the sky and noticed a smile on Haben's face briefly he told me that it was coming from his family's fire and in no time I confirmed it when we approached enough to see the tents.
His tents was in many way different from mine and the others back in my tribe, it wasn't conical nor closed but rectangular, wide and one of its side was open. Moreover, I could see the colorful ornaments inside of it.
"Your father's tents is beautiful, Haben. Thank you again for inviting me to come here, could I have the honor of meeting your father?"
"ooc"I don't know if my short description of your tent is right, Nex. Relating your character race and personality, I thought it to be like Bedouin's tent.

His gratitude to the Chaktawe's words showed clearly on his face, and dipping his head in difference, he thanked him.
"Your words stir pride in my breast Satish, and I'll introduce you to my father when he get back from herding. Come now, let us find food and shade"
He waved the man to continue on and soon they would be outside his tent, around a fire still smoldering, and breaking bread with laughter. Slowly others of his tent would gather around and meet the outsider, sharing with him their various tales of life on the sands. It was a time of closeness, and levity, a rare thing among some of the sands but here it was to be enjoyed by the close family and good friends. It was a time of happiness.
"oocI haven't quite developed my family yet, so I figure this would be a good place to end our thread if you don't mind. It has been a pleasure writing in this thread with you." |
