The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Season of Winter, Day 36, 512 AV : The bridge connecting the Zintila and Tenten Peaks

Syna’s light shone down on the denizens of Lhavit. The sky was a surreal blue, the clouds drifting by in a lethargic, undisturbed manner. Lhavitians lazily cruised along the path of the bridge, greeting those they walked pass, literally taking everything in stride. Fraint remembered calling out greetings and salutations not a few chimes ago, as the inhabitants of the surreal city were happy and leisurely people. A fresh breath of wind caressed his face, cuing Fraint to lower his eyelids and inhale, breathing the air in deeply. Fraint leaned forward on the Skyglass, overlooking the Misty Peaks and the dense air curling about the jagged points that signaled a nasty fall.

For perhaps the millionth time in ten days, Fraint was reminded that Lhavit was a divine place. He didn’t have to be reminded, though. All he had to do was open his eyes and realize that he was living in the place of his dreams, a true utopia. Lhavit was the natural hub for those with insatiable curiosities, such as Fraint, who wished to be a scholar at Lhavit, which he affectionately referred to as the Diamond of Kalea.

It was late into the morning (which, according to Fraint, was somewhere around nine), and Fraint had woken up rather early, so his face was rather haggard and worn. However, he still retained a chipper mood, his intelligent eyes brightly lit by curiosity that never failed; his mouth a tight line that threatened to reveal a large, goofy grin. He strived to keep up a good reputation, but he knew that the Lhavitians’ cheery and good-spirited dispositions were beginning to rub off on him, much to both his chagrin and delight. There was nothing Fraint could’ve done to halt it, do he decided to leave it alone and allow fate to run its course.

Fraint turned to see somebody that he’d seen once or twice, and the two of them shared a nod and a smile – Fraint’s smile forced and failing to reach his eyes, even though his body posture suggested otherwise. Fraint always had a knack for making it seem as though he were being overly polite (which was ironic, as he generally distrusted and disliked those with an overly helpful demeanor), attempting to build up a good look for himself in front of the folks of Lhavit. When he’d turned away and again leaned over to behold the Misty Peaks, he let out a strained sigh.

Being friendly really ran him ragged.

OOCSorry, I had to change the date to the 36th, because of calender issues. I hope this doesn't ruin your schedule or anything.

Ahria had woken before the sunrise on this particular morning, something not uncommon for the Kelvic to do. Of course, she had gone outside and found a little spot somewhere to watch it from. It had been quite beautiful, all reds, oranges and even greens lighting up the empty space above the city. She wondered why people always slept through it. Nobody ever seemed to rise to watch one of the prettiest things they may ever see.

She stayed in her spot long after the sun was up, hanging above the Zintila Peak like a huge golden orb. People soon began to appear, a few still rubbing sleep from their eyes as they made their way to whatever appointmetnts they had planned for the day. When they street before her began to almost bustle with the amount of people going back and forth, Ahria decided it was time for her to move.

She left her perch and headed in a random direction. She still had no idea of her way around this city and mostly just wandered with no aim. The sheer beauty of the place still caught her, and as she went her eyes flickered from one skyglass building to another. The way they glowed and changed with the light, the animals carved into them and simply their various shapes all fascinated her. She wondered if there was a place more lovely than this.

Soon enough, Ahria came to a bridge. She didn’t know where it led, but there were plenty of people crossing it. She stepped onto it, slipping between people as she wound her way across. Most were taller than her, and she could hardly see where she was going. A stray elbow caught the girl, and she stumbled sideways. Unfortunately for her, she seemed to find the only person not corssing to fall into. A man had been standing, looking out over the Peaks, probably thinking about important things, probably not wanting a small girl to hit him in the back. Ahria’s eyes widened and she began to stammer an apology.
”I…I’m sorry! I uh, I didn’t mean to! I’m not really sure where I’m going and um… I’m sorry…” Her voice trailed off into nothingness, eyes still wide with apology.

oocI figured this would be an easy way for them to meet, since Ahria isn't really one to approach strangers. Hope it's okay!

Fraint had continued to lose himself in his own thoughts, always wondering and, as of the 24th of Winter, beholding. While his posture remained complacent, his gaze wandered the scenery, absorbing every little detail that his brain could handle.

Abruptly, his vision failed him and he found himself jerking back reflexively, bringing his arm up to torso height in order to shield him from any danger that may or may not have hit him. Looking down, he found that a small, petite girl had found her way into his bosom, and let out a curt grunt in surprise. His eyes widened, mirroring the girl’s action, and he stepped a few paces backwards, but not before ensuring that the girl wouldn’t crash to the ground before he did so.

As his breath evened out, he found himself staring at the girl, baffled. His hands were rigid at his side, and soon, an expression of vexation and anger found itself dancing across Fraint’s facial features. He could have very well chastised the girl for her clumsiness, but he found himself, assuming the façade proper to his own being, and his expression calmed, now serene, if not a bit shaken. His lips were lifted upwards slightly, but his eyes were narrowed, and from a distance, one couldn’t tell if it were merely a squinted smile or a narrow, piercing gaze. As the smile had failed to reach his eyes, Fraint knew that it was the latter.

He assumed control of the position, a self-assured air surrounding him, as he walked over to the girl, the smile still plastered onto his face. He didn’t know how he was supposed to react, so he decided that it was all right to play it cool and pity the girl rather than throw verbal barbs at her and cause a scene.

“That’s all right,” he consoled her softly, tilting his head. “No harm done whatsoever.”

Fraint scrutinized the little girl, who seemed to be shorter than her, like most women tended to be. His mind drifted to that woman from Denval, Johanne, who had surprised him by actually being taller than him, but the thought quickly wafted out of his mind.

“You seem to be having trouble,” he added matter-of-factly. “Do you need somebody to escort you?” Fraint chuckled good-naturedly. Though he implied it as a witty joke, he wouldn’t have declined if the girl jumped on the offer.
