"This mark is from which Goddess, and what does it do?" Vaspira asked her as she finished speaking of the small amount of sights she'd seen. Making a note to offer to show her around later, Svasra turned her strained attempts at Common towards wording her gnosis. She paused, eyebrows scrunching in thought as she struggled to find the right words. Gods, how long had it been since she used Common regularly? Svasra worried about her aptitude in the language, but figured she would become fluent as she traveled. One can hope.

Turning back to the task at hand, Svasra looked up and waved to Barten where he took a break. Striding over the man cocked an eyebrow, and Svasra spoke quickly in her native dialect of Vani, "Gnosis in Common?" she asked, as Barten was much more apt at Common due to the travelers that came to Avanthal.
"Gnosis," Barten said after a short pause to think, nodding in slight confirmation towards Vaspira. "Explaining Morwen in a dialect you are not common with?" he continued, speaking Common for Vaspira's benefit so she would not feel left out. "The winter, the snow, the ice, and the cold sun. The beauty of frost, and the delicacy of icicles." He blinked and smiled. "That is Morwen, our Queen." Parting with those words, Barten made his way back to the bar where he swiftly began his job once more.

Svasra coughed slightly and looked at Vaspira. "I have ... little knowing what says he," she admitted with a grin. "The ... g...gnos-is," she muttered, running over the word experimentally. Using a language she hadn't uttered in a few years was much more challenging than Svasra thought, and only a determined mind kept the frustration down. "Ice ... shifts ice ..." Svasra said to Vaspira, gesturing to the outside in an attempt to add depth to her explanation. "Let show me, to you?" Svasra asked, standing. She couldn't really see any other way to fully explain what her gnosis enabled her to do, along with simply amplified resistance to the cold.

Note: Svasra speaking Vani, Svasra speaking Common. Barten speaking Vani, Barten speaking Common.

By the look at the lovely woman’s face, it appeared that she was confused as to how to speak what she wanted in common. So with a motion she had Barten come forth to speak for her. They spokes briefly in that melody like foreign language, then Barten spoke in common. Talking about this Morwen, who was their queen, of everything that is white and frozen in their city. Vaspira nodded her head with a small smile, sort of understanding, yet not understanding that much at all.

Then the small woman started trying to speak in common once again, stringing weird words together in a sentence. It was a little hard to understand, like it was hard to understand a child learning how to speak, but Vaspira caught enough to get what she was trying to say. She wanted to show her what the mark did, since explaining it was obviously such a taxing and hard thing for her to do. Vaspira nodded her head; she was excited to see what this gnosis mark did for the woman. ”That sounds like fun. I would love to see what this mark does. Please do show me. Vaspira said in a curious and excited voice, standing up with the woman as they headed outside.

Vaspira was a little nervous; she admitted this to herself since she did not really know these people. But she felt like she could trust this woman, that it was not her intention to her the Kelvic, but to communicate in the best way she knew how. So Vaspira followed to little story teller outside, to see what this little snow flake mark could do for her.

"That sounds like fun. I would love to see what this mark does. Please do show me." It was enough for her, and Svasra rose with a grin, nodding eagerly. She quickly took the lead to the outside world, taking her cup of water with her. Her gnosis was something that Svasra was very proud of, and would eagerly show anyone how it helped her survive in Avanthal from a day-to-day basis. Not only did it allow her to change water into ice, or ice into water, it allowed her to shape ice, detect thickness of ice, and also generally kept her more resilient to the cold. How she would be able to show all of these things to the woman, Svasra still hadn't fully thought out - but making it up as you go along is most of the joy!

Svasra settled to a spot outdoors, underneath Morwen's Lights and the stars that glittered through their ribbon patterns. She sat down with little ceremony, tucking her coat underneath her bottom to keep it dry as she did so. Gesturing across from her, Svasra meant for Vaspira to do the same. "I will to show, you, my gnosis," she said with a grin. "It helps me live ... in cold, first of all." Holding out her lightly brown hands, Svasra turned her left over to show the gnosis that lived on her wrist. It appeared to just be a pale shape on her skin, as though the rest of her tanned except that one section. The delicate webbing of the snowflake fit perfectly on the underside. If one bent close to stare at the detail it would be marveling that the snowflake even had minute arms to mimic the individuality and fragile beauty of real snowflakes.

"Called ice-reaving," Svasra said after a long moment, thinking back to her lessons and teacher. Ice-reaving sounded correct in Common, so she could only hope so. Either way, Svasra poured a bit of water onto her left palm, letting it pool in her small hand. With her right finger, she gently touched the gnosis, and concentrated its affects. The water in her hand froze, and she hummed quietly as she added a bit more water to it. Once she had a decent glob, Svasra raised it to show Vaspira and then frowned for a moment. After a chime, the ice became to chip and flake, slowly coming off under Svasra's touch. It took her a while to achieve the shape she wished, as she was no skilled sculptor and rarely used her ice-reaving mark for anything more than daily tolerance in the cold.

"Mark also helps detect how ..... how good ice is. To walk on. If will break. Cannot do anything in large portions, because I have first mark, but very good to have in Avanthal. Clear roads, and make shapes," Svasra said absently as she worked, breaking into light humming when the conversation lulled. "Most ... of the people of Avanthal get it when they are very young. I get when baby. Some when they ... are of age. Uh ... coming of age! Party, yeah, Morwen grants them mark then. They say no two of the gnosis are alike, just like snowflakes. They are if different places too. Mother is on her neck, back under hair. And father is on shoulder, left." She raised her left hand to ensure she was calling it by the right name. "Some of us do not get it though, so I do not know how well they are in cold."

When she stretched her hand towards Vaspira again, Svasra now held a small figure of a panther. It was crude, and the head was disproportional, but there was obvious thought put into it as there were small dents for some eyes and a couple delicate whiskers sticking out. Svasra smiled lamely as she had obviously had no apt talent of the Skyglows, though seemed proud of it all the same - she was surprised she managed to make it look feline, in all honesty. "Gnosis of ... Morwen."

The Kelvic followed the woman outside, slightly wondering why she was bringing her glass of water, but shrugging it off. The woman sat on the ground, and she followed suit. Vaspira watched Svasra closely as she began to try and explain the mark on the underside of her wrist. It looked like a tan line to Vaspira. As if she laid out in the sun with something in the shape of a snow flake on her wrist, and everything but that small place became tanned. Either way it was a beautiful mark.

The woman spoke of Ice-Reaving, and Vaspira’s face frowned slightly. She did not know what this Ice-Reaving was that she spoke of, but she was really curious to find out. The woman poured a little bit of water onto her left palm and Vaspira’s frown deepened, she did not understand why the woman was pouring water onto her hand, and it was slightly crazy. Then she reached out with her right finger, touching that mark on her wrist, and the water in her hand froze. Vaspira gasped softly, it was amazing to watch. It was like magic happening before her eyes. The only magic she knew was Hypnotism, and that was really just playing on people’s emotions and planting suggestions into their minds. This, this that Vaspira was seeing, was beautiful magic and she was very intrigued and slightly jealous of this woman. She stayed quiet though to let the woman speak, learning that the people of Avanthal are usually born with the mark, it helps them survive in the frozen city, and helps them turn water into ice. This Gnosis was gave to them by this Goddess Queen named Morwen, the people of Avanthal being blessed by her, to with stand the cold weather and use it for their advantage so it would not disadvantage them. The woman held a small figure of a panther in her palm, it wasn’t perfect, but one could tell what it was supposed to be.

”Wow… That is about the most amazing thing I have ever seen before!” Vaspira looked over at the woman with a big bright smile on her face, she knew she looked slightly childish but the woman had sculpted what looked like her, and she was very pleased. ”You must be very happy that this Goddess Morwen has blessed you so. Otherwise, living here would not be so… well… livable, without that mark.” Vaspira kept the smile on her face; she did not what else to say really. She was a little amazed at all this information she had received from the story teller.

oocOh my, I sincerely apologize about the length of this one, I didn't want to ramble on about her thoughts so it's pretty bare. >.<

Seeing the wonder in Vaspira's expression caused a flicker of pride to burn in Svasra's heart, her love of Morwen and the wintery world etched in her grin. "Wow… That is about the most amazing thing I have ever seen before!" Vaspira said, seemingly pleased with the figurine. "You must be very happy that this Goddess Morwen has blessed you so. Otherwise, living here would not be so… well… livable, without that mark," the Kelvic continued, pausing to absorb all the information Svasra tried to convey in her broken Common.
"We are children of Morwen and her lights," Svasra commented with a small smile. The woman handed the panther over with a note of keeping it outside would keep it frozen. "You like Avanthal?"

Rising, Svasra looked at the stars and then back to Vaspira. "Come, let me buy you drink, and tell me of your travels?" she asked hopefully, wanting to hear of how Vaspira came to Avanthal.

The woman’s question shocked her a little bit. For one she did not want to be rude and tell her she hated the place, it would only hurt her heart. Vaspira did not necesarrily dislike the place a lot, but it wasn’t the type of place or climate she preferred. She was after all raised at the Suvan Sea. Sure it was cold there too, but in the jungles she was protected from the winter wind off of the seas, and in the sun it was delightful to laze about in the winter.

So she answered the best she could,”Avanthal is different.” Vaspira smiled as the woman rose up from the ground. Vaspira rose too, and looked over at the woman as she spoke in her broken common. She wanted to buy her a drank and hear of her travels. It seemed like a nice bonding thing to do, so Vaspira nodded her head. ”Sounds good to me. I will try to tell my story, though it will not be as good as a storyteller can weave.” Vaspira smiled and walked inside the tavern and resumed her seat at the table they were at before.

Nova shudders into the Tavern with snowflakes in her hair. She swiftly makes her way to the Tavern Keeper dusting the snow out of herself. "Keep, I'll take a thick ale please, tonight is a celebration night!" Nova bolstered in Vani. The Tavern Keep didn't blink an eye, filled a mug and slid it Novas direction. "10 copper please." said the Keep. "Shouldn't be a problem if you can brake a gold, mizas!" The Keep looked at her as if she was kidding until she removed the coinage from her pocket and slid it over to the Tavern Keep. "Yes ma'am" he says as he counts the change and returns the corrected amount back to Nova. "Thanks Keep!" replied Nova ecstatically as she winks and makes her way to a crowd of people around the fire with a wide bright smile, her parents would often say, "as bright as a full moon." Every now and then Nova can be seen carefully sipping on her think ale being mindful to courteously laugh at a few of the "dumb' guys jokes.

Nova Skyglow meeks off a small smile to all the fellows around the fire and finishes off her thick ale. "Alas boys, I am off for the night farewell!" she said with a loud voice as if everyone in the bar cared. She thanked the Keep once more and moved to the door, this time remembering to put her hood up.

Following Vaspira, Svasra settled down into the chair she had occupied before hand, waving over a waitress for some water. "What would you like?" she asked, looking towards her companion before the barmaid left to fill their orders. In the meantime of waiting for their drinks, Svasra looked at Vaspira closely. She knew Kelvics often showed signs of their animal form when in human form by appearance, and wondered how Vaspira would show her panther side.

Trying not to seem obtrusive, Svasra scanned Vaspira's facial structure in silence, the thought of explaining her blunt curiosity not occurring to her. Her eyes were an ice blue, shocking, and uncommon, but not feline. Their pupils though were slit, and Svasra felt it slightly uncanny to peer at. Her face was built in the graceful sweeping manner of beauty, and dark hair framed tanned skin. The only other evidence of Vaspira's much ferocious appearing counter was the slightly elongated teeth that peeked out at Svasra as she spoke or smiled. The Vantha woman hummed a small acknowledgement to herself, as though solving a case, and beamed at Vaspira. Before she could say anything though, a loud voice in Vani broke into the boisterous nature of the Tavern,
"Keep, I'll take a thick ale please, tonight is a celebration night!"

Looking over her shoulder, Svasra peered at the woman, and noted her as a Skyglow. Little else would come to mind though, and she could only watch as people reacted drunkenly around her, amused and welcoming. A regular then? Svasra almost went to invite the Vantha to join, but she had settled into a group of men that began to joke joyously with her. Svasra smiled to see she had found a group, and turned back to Vaspira. Her hands wrapped around the cool water she didn't remember arriving.

"Alright, begin, I want to hear small details .... all the ... travels!" Svasra said, obviously excited as she leaned in close, eyes turning a dark green with flecks of pale pink in her mix of emotions.
"Alas boys, I am off for the night farewell!" sounded behind her, and Svasra couldn't help but turn once more to watch the Skyglow leave in a flurry of action. Funny woman. With an amused shake of her head, Svasra turned her bright gaze on Vaspira once more, grinning encouragement.
