Welcome to Zeltiva Omid!

So... I'm finally caught up on giving you guys your wages, and employing those who had requested jobs. I think I caught them all, but let me know if I missed one.

The Common Room

I haven't finalised the calendar itself yet, but the calendar thread is up, and it contains some important and useful info. The first section has the background for this season, what's going on in the city e.t.c, to help you play to the city's current situation. I also have March's thread challenges at the bottom, so you can make start on those if you're after Labyrinth Tickets, Status Points, or even a shiny Zeltiva medal ;)

Hello Zeltiva!
It's about time to introduce my self so, hello everyone. I am your brand new, still freshly out of the package, floating JsRT. I'll be loitering here, floating about my beloved city, an awful lot and is wonderful to meet you all :)

A big congratulations to Valo - the first player in Mizahar to attain the Zeltiva Seasonal Challenge medal! Wear it with pride! :)

On a different topic, let me reiterate for players who might be new. You CANNOT live in a tent in Zeltiva, or survive on Poor living expenses. If that's the way you want to play, Zeltiva is NOT the city for you. Let me repeat. It is NOT for you. In Zeltiva you either stay at an inn, or live in a cottage. Otherwise, guards will move you on and out of the city.

I started here recently with my charcter Cisel and hope to eventually do lots of interesting threads. I'm trying to outline a few things in my plotnotes and you are welcome to have a look there to get a hint about things my character can bring to roleplay.

Grateful for all cooperation I can find. PM me if you have ideas you'd like me to help with !

Oh, and for some reason I had a strong feeling Cisel ought to live in an inn. Didn't find it at once ;) It's a bit overwhelming with all the information on Mizahar, but I do my best.

Check out the thread "Strange Bird" (Cisel, Valo) if you aren't scared of strange meetings between sunset and midnight !

A shout out to any present and future Anthropology students here! :) My character, Lenell, is studying Anthropology. Our lovely Uni could use a Professor in that subject. If you are a student that this applies to now, or will later, how about we combine our ideas into a NPC soup, then pick out the best bits to use? If you are interested in planning this, PM me and we'll see what we can cook up.

Guys, just another heads up, I'm not dead I swear! And to people I'm threading with I'm really sorry, but housing stuff and vacation is here and I'm actually leaving the state tomorrow for a week. I'll try to get some stuff up by Thursday. If not I apologize profusely again!

The Common Room

While working on a thread, I found myself wondering something... interesting to say the least. My thread involves Priskil's Spire, and I was wondering if it was the tallest building in Zeltiva? And if not, what is? Since in most cities (past, present, and fictional), there's often an allure for people to experience the highest point. So what would you think is the highest point in Zeltiva?
I'm accepting threads only for Summer 513 AV or Flashbacks with Leila. If you'd like to thread, PM me with a date and a basic idea of what you'd like to do! Thanks!

The Common Room

Interesting question. Zeltiva isn't flat so the highest structure is not actually the highest view. :)

The highest structure would be the astronomy tower at the Uni (once it's fully restored, which was one of the first structures to be targeted for recovery after the djed storm)

The highest point, however, is between two locations. One faces the water, and has a limited view of the city itself, which is the Storm Shrine, which gives the most complete view of Matthew's bay from the foothills. Just above that are some structures/grave sights at the Cemetery.

The clearest view of a city defined by it's history is from the resting place of the dead and gone (or lingering.)

Thanks for asking that, Leila, fun question! Very atmospheric.
