The suggestion box is what helps a community grow and thrive. You, the players, have the ability to voice what you want to see in The Spires. Locations, NPCs, Flora/Fauna, holidays, folktales, and everything else under the tree tops are welcome! All you have to do is speak up.

Contact a storyteller of The Spires with your idea or if you are seeking permission to develop. Locations and holidays need permission. Other than that, feel free to write up something unique and post it here – in the suggestion box! All opinions and constructive criticisms are welcome here.

If you do not want to develop, but instead want something to be developed by myself or another storyteller of The Spires, feel free to let us know by posting it here and giving a little shout. We would be more than happy to help make The Spires more delightful for our wonderful players!

Located below are the codes and regulations to follow for development.

The Spires Suggestion Box

Postby Luhrak Searunner on April 14th, 2013, 12:39 am

(Just want to mention that the housing guide still links to the old suggestion box, hence why I posted there first.)

Ortal's home
Image
According to his non existant birth certificate, this house should be called Luhrak's home but Ortal hasn't used that name in a couple dozen years so it is officially called Ortal's home.

Ortal's home is situated near the edge of the petal, away from most other houses, located in a secluded and remote spot of the petal. At least for now, perhaps future expansion will bring closer neighbors to the house. From the outside the house is plain boring and unlike any of the other houses on the petal. A simple square shape, the house leaves no room for imagination. Visible from the outside are four windows, each covered by nature grown vines that double as sun blinders and curtains for nozy people who would like to sneak a peek inside. The double doors at the entrance are rarely ever open to visitors and Ortal has not seen with any visitors or friends yet.

The double doors of the house lead one into a small hallway that leads immediately into the meeting hall. The meeting hall is a square shaped room with the two smallest windows leading into it. Quite boring it is also very cosy. The warm fire is almost always burning, as Ortal is cold throughout the year. The two chairs on the other side of the room are used as a reading corner, evident from the books lying around. From the meeting hall to the right is the library which also doubles as Ortal's study. This is where most of Ortal's time is spent. To the left of the meeting room is Ortal's bedroom, off limits to guests. straight across from the entrance is a door and a stairs leading down. The door leads into the kitchen and the stairs lead down half a story into the dining room. The dining room has room for six people at the table but has not seen any use yet. There are only five chairs but a sixth chair could be taken from the study or the meeting hall. From the dining room there are two doors, one to the left, leading back up to Ortal's bedroom and one to the right, leading into the kitchen as well.

The only room not reachable from the meeting room is the little garden, a place of meditation for Ortal. The garden has a small water basin, flanked by two statues which in turn are flanked by two bushes. The garden is only reachable by flying over the house and landing in it, as it has no ceiling or through a door in Ortal's bedroom. Light inside the house is provided through windows in the library, bedroom and meeting room. The kitchen and dining room are supplied with light through a ceiling window and candles or lamps. Just like the outside, all the rooms are square and probably considered boring but are provided with decorations. The dining room, for example, has two large curtains depicting two different scenes to compensate for the lack of windows with a view.

Unknown to anyone but Ortal so far, the house has two secret rooms in the north part near the edge of the petal. These rooms contain a laboratory and a working area where Ortal works on his malediction and does his research that he wants to keep away from prying eyes. The rooms are connected to four secret doors in the bedroom, library, kitchen and dining room. To Ortal the house provides a space in a relative safe location away from prying eyes and people that could possibly hurt him or shun him. He only comes out if really necessary or to reaquaint himself, a little habit he picked up somewhere else in the world.

The Spires Suggestion Box

Name: Candella Blossom
Frequency: extremely rare in the wilderness, common in Syna's Flower Garden
Major Features: Perhaps the most spectacular and most noticeable of features that this particular flower has, is it's bio-luminescent glow that emits from it's Pistil, so fierce is the luminescent nature of the flower, that even during the day, one could easily tell the glowing yellow features reminiscent of the sun. During the night, the brightness of the flower creates the whole of Syna's Garden filled with, although false, a sense of daylight. Another one of it's features is it's glazed overcoat, the texture of it could best be described as cling film, if these flower existed on earth. This cling film like substance is sticky and when it rains, the film holds the droplets.
As such when it is night, the flower can become dangerously bright after a downfall of rain if someone had not been tasked to take care of the dazzling flowers
Uses: The plant has only a few uses. some of the more peaceful options include: if the flower is well preserved, on could easily use the flower as a source of light, examples of these can be found within the garden keepers home within Syna's Flower Garden.
Those with a nefarious nature, might use the Flower and plenty of water to create a blinding light, allowing them to commit various criminal acts and other such offending actions.
Most Common In: Syna's Flower Garden
Miscellaneous: These Flowers are Extremely Rare to come by outside the garden. There are odd tales and the occasional Myth and tale about how the flower came into existence. One of the most common ones is a story of Leth and Syna's love, and Leth had slowly begun to lessen his feelings because of the lack of contact. In an effort to keep the balance of night and day upheld Priskil and Caiyha created a flower together, to always remind Leth of the woman he loves.
