Hello,
My name is Laura, I am (contrary to my character) a white girl from Ireland (the part which is illegally occupied by Imperial Britain [wink]) - I'm interested in Marxism, Deleuze, Foucault, Federici, Fortunati, Wittig, Cixous, Spivak, & the old inseperable scene of Weil, Sartre, Beauvoir, Camus, Fanon, etc etc - 500 pages of the SOLAR ANUS - White Room galleries & no form, Constructivism & the 'struggle for utopia' - Full Communism as the 'Summum Bonum', etc etc
My literary influences are! Mina Loy, Hilda Doolittle (Mina + Hilda = Midna, get it?), Virginia Woolf, blah blah - 20th century queer women, (like me? 93/93) - also, Baudelaire (baeddelaire?), William Blake, OPHELIA NOT SHAKESPEARE - JULIET NOT ROMEO - etc etc - & hilarious lists of whom-begat-whom in the bible, etc etc - reactionary MONSTERS like Crowley (Alice Hayes) --- the murderer William Burroughs (and the junky William Burroughs, like me), Gysin - a friend tells me, I must read some queer women who have taken up the Cut Up mantle, I do not remember their names nor have I read them - listen... I really like Mina Loy & Hilda Doolittle, is all. I really like them a whole lot.
I used to roleplay on the Runescape forums - isn't it hilarious? - but they were all Rapists and I am not innarested to spend even a single moment with Men of that category, so... - a friend of mine and I have been working on a good project of writing about African mythology rather than European mythology in Fantasy, while simaultaneously acknowledging our Whiteness in doing so and thus approaching this great metropolis of beasts and myths as Outsiders treading into the Other, etc etc - all towards inspiring fantasy nerds towards revolutionary Praxis, etc - in my writings there is a myth in which some temple was sunk deep under the water and eventually it would rise containing Angels who would defeat the bourgeoisie and establish socialism - this is, in fact, a myth the Old Believers developed, which was very popular during a certain October -
(a friend of mine runs a Mandolin-centric David Bowie cover band - their guitarist has listened to nothing but the album David Bowie Live in Santa Monica 1972 for the past 4 years - it's not even that good an album - what a monster)
regardless. My name is Laura and I like Mina Loy & Hilda Doolittle, I am a cook and I am happy to be on your forums, etc, etc, and I hope you will have me, etc etc,
best wishes,
Laura
