This began in Chat last night as many of us expressed frustration at not being able to participate in NaNo because of school or other seasonal commitments. So, I decided there should a NaNo that allowed all those in school to participate more effectively. Thus, NaJu. Nanowrimo in June. Since exams finish this month for many of us, I thought this would be the prime time to have it. A celebration of school finishing, time to kill while students look for jobs, etc.
Like Nano the goal is 50k words in one month. Because I don't have access to all the lovely stuff Tarot does, we will have to count words a little differently. You will sign up anytime (though obviously before the first makes the most sense) and then begin writing. You will make a note on each IC post of the word count. When a post is done you will post the word count here (incl. a link to the post) and it will be added to the official score. This is because the numbers on your left are not actually accurate, thus we will not be going by these. Only IC words count (get it!) Not OOC notes or posts or plotting. I will randomly be checking peoples posts to make sure the word count is accurate ;p So no inflating your numbers chickpeas.
I will keep a running tally in the same way Tarot did with Nano with increasing updates as the end begins. When NaJu comes to an end I will post END, any submissions after this point will no longer count. NaJu will close at the end of June 30th Miz Time.
