Taloba, home to the Myrians, is the thriving core of Falyndar. Inhabited by a fierce and savage tribe where blood sacrifices are normal and a way of life, they are untamed and proud of it. Warlike, and with their numbers growing, the Myrians are set on reclaiming what is rightfully theirs. [Lore]

Found within the bustling heart of the Trading Square an ancient smithy can be seen, its structure comprised of locally quarried stone of varying shapes and sizes meshed into an intricate yet hardy design. Some say the style of architecture makes the building stronger though none can say for sure as the art has been lost within the sands of time. Certainly it has weathered the storms of the centuries with little decay or damage incurred. Know in local lore as a smithy since as far as any of the clans can remember it proved very easy indeed for the Blooded Fangs to convert into a more modern equivalent of its ancient function.

Chuki, and her assistant Barvan, have been working there for a score of seasons and more now, making sure that their clan maintains a firm hand upon the local crafting of high quality metal goods. With all they required to fulfil their mission, a few new tools and some physical labour, they can now be found ringing hammer blows that can be heard for yards in all directions – even above the babble of the commerce flowing around them. Chuki’s watchful eyes keep the area safe from any would-be thieving Barbarians these days – more than once they have tried to take what they have not paid for fairly.

The main forge and finishing areas can be found outside and to the rear of the actual shop building. This is no surprise to the denizens of Taloba for if one tried to work under such heats and humidity in the jungles without a lick of a breeze to cool them it would be akin to suicide. Passers-by often pause to watch the wares being crafted, the skills of the pair beyond repute in their given trade. The store itself can be found within the shaded interior of the building itself, the wares on display at all hours.

The wares themselves are intrinsically Myrian in nature, sharp edges and cruel blades abound upon the racks and splayed across the few rough wooden tables within. Other items, of course, can be found and purchased too but with the economy driven by martial prowess in many ways these alternative items are fewer in nature. Any question as why Chuki and Barvan do not provide for the army is answered as soon as one closely inspects their wares. Forged and smithed with a much higher degree of craftsmanship they are far improved from the rough, recycled blades that the Taloban Army foundries finish in a fraction of the time it takes for one piece of Chuki’s work.

Their masterpieces set them apart, in their eyes, and each finished product is considered to add a fraction of respect and honour to their names and that of their Clan.

Chuki of The Blooded Fangs had one singular ambition as she grew from childhood, through adolescence and into the woman forged by the jungles that others know in the present – to raise up her Clan and give them a way to prove their self-evident superiority. The stony determination that this has wrought in her is plain for all to see. A quite woman, of few words, she prefers to show others her greatness rather than tell them. For her tales of excellence are just that – tales.

She spent some time in the Taloban ary as all young Myrians do and, for the most part, acquitted herself well. However she could never find the same taste for frenzied bloodshed that the others in her Fang could. This caused friction within the ranks and she eventually left service of the Taloban Army behind her. She had earned a decent reputation as a reliable and honourable woman in her 5 years of service and this eventually made her the perfect candidate for the reinstating of the ancient forge she now occupies.

It took several more years of hard work and much sweat before she grappled her way to the peak of blacksmithing in the city – a fact that she is fiercely proud of and will defend from others, to the death if it is required. Many a heated exchange of trading rivals has been ended by a fight to first-blood in the Area of The Ancients. Her one desire is to prove that The Blooded Fangs are worth more to the Myrian race than just as swords and grunts. Her craft speaks for itself, high quality in make and far outshining all other Clan productions.

In this she has been mildly successful, The Blooded Fangs controlling the majority of her given market outside of the forges of the Army themselves. She rarely talks of her past, her tattoo’s speak for themselves for any who wish to know about it – detailed pictures of the various battles she has fought with enemies within and without Taloba.

Destruction: 4th of Fall

First it had been Suka’s Leathers that had gone up in smoke, now it was his humble shop. The fire had spit childish sparks, causing the dry straw and wood of the roof to flare up. Unlike Suka, Chuki stood idly by and watch the place become ash.

OOCThis location will no longer be around as of the 4th of Fall, 514. The NPC will be moved to a new location.
