Character Concept
Winter 514 AVLight is kind with everyone, even the non-citizens of Ravok. Although he was taught not to protect any non-follower of his god, he still cannot help but help a person in need. He believes in the world of chaos but he also believes in the world of good. Sometimes these beliefs would clash, but his belief in chaos would inevitably win. He also believes in the value of friendship and will sometimes place his life on the line for his friends more than anyone else, except for his family. He is nice to most, but those who manage to make him very angry become his worst enemy, even his fellow stryfe comrades. He cannot be fooled easily, and if he is then he will be very upset about it, may even go into a fitting rage, a proper reaction from most humans.
Summer 515 AVAs the seasons pass Light has gained new skills and knowledge which he uses for his benefits whenever he can. He has not lost his sense of justice, yet there are new developments happening to Light now. There is a darkness within him, a being of unknown origin that seeks to take over his mind. It had developed when Light began using magic, and only grows stronger as he continues to. Light doesn't understand what is happening to him and blames everything weird that is happening to him on his psychological instability.
Sometimes, after he has used magic, Light loses himself completely and becomes the shadow that stalks him. From the actions the darkness takes, the only thing that can be said for certain is that it only wants chaos. If Light doesn't figure out what's going on with him and fight what is now haunting his mind, he will be engulfed by the shadows of chaos.
Pre-Character Creation History
Light grew up in a wealthy home with three family members. His beloved sister Chiselle, his gentle mother Anne, and his tough father Don. His father was a paladin for the Ebonstryfe army. His family was known to have great successors, so from the beginning of his life he was raised to be better than all other. He was trained in the art of hand to hand combat and weapon based combat near the age of 10.
Light spent little time with his sister, for she was given early training to become an acolyte and was never given time to be with him. Stories of how she was, her spirit, and her health were always given to him by the servants who served both he and her. Though they lived in the same manor as their parents and grandparents, they never laid eyes on each other. Somehow, Light still found a way to love his sibling, despite their situation. He would make sure she was well fed, that no servant would harm her, and that no enemy of his father or grandfather could get to her. He did all this by ordering the staff to look after her.
He was a good brother, and tried to love his sister to the best of his capabilities, but Chiselle knew nothing about Light. Her parents did not even tell her that Light existed. They wanted her to be cold, distant, and an apostle to the great god of chaos only, all in hopes of naming her The Voice. Chiselle however, had no wish of this. She grew lonely, and hated the life she was forced to live through, so she killed herself. Light was told nothing, only given knowledge that she escaped from Ravok and that Ebonstryfe soldiers were looking for her. And even though years past without a word from Chiselle, Light still kept hope that Chiselle was alive, scared for her life and alone, but breathing. He never knew the truth and still does not know to this day.
When Light was old enough and ready to petition for the Ebonstryfe, few soldiers were sent by his father to train him. By the time he turned sixteen, he had become fully competent with the bastard blade. Light's father also made his son study magic, hiring mage's to introduce light to Reimancy. Currently, Light is studying to be an apprentice for the Ebonstryfe. He is working a job as a bodyguard for wealthy individuals, raising all the required skills he needs also.
Fall 516As of Fall 516, Bartholomew has become a changed man. He is no longer timid and easy to push over. He scowls all the time and has become a ruthless individual. Signs of his dissociative disorder has completely vanished, as well as the kindness he once showed to all individuals. There is no telling what happened to Bartholomew while he spent his time away from Ravok, but whatever it was had a big effect on him.
