Faolan didn't notice her watching him over the edge of her book. Not that he would have minded either way. He wasn't embarrassed about being naked like humans seemed to be, but his mother had drilled into his head that he must be clothed at all times unless he was shifting. Even then she didn't want him shifting in a populated area; she said it was dangerous since many Kelvics were kept as slaves. Better to try and keep his identity hidden than to run around shifting all the time.

As Kamilla told him to get comfortable he flopped down in the grass. Might as well relax since she asked him to. He laid with his tail curled slightly around his hind legs and his front legs stretched out in front of him. He laid his head on his front legs and looked at her quietly. As he watched her draw he started to doze off a little bit. The cool, soft grass and the slight breeze rustling in the trees was like a lullaby for him.

With his eyes half closed his ears swiveled back and forth lazily as they caught different sounds. The scratching of her pencil against the paper would cause his ears to swivel towards her for a moment before turning back towards other sounds that caught his attention. Letting out a long sigh he could almost take a nap. He was a little hungry, but it wasn't enough to get him to move into the woods after what sounded like a squirrel. He rarely had lazy days like this, he figured he should enjoy it while he could.

When she was done he got up and trotted over to sit next to her so he could see what she had drawn. Tilting his head to the side slightly he nodded in approval after he was done studying what she had finished. He didn't know why she wasn't more confident in her skills, s he was much better than most people he had seen. He had no idea how to draw so she was at least better than him anyway.

"Done." she said with a deep sigh as she looked at her work, disappointed in her lack of skill yet satisfied with her accomplishment, it was unfortunate that Kamilla couldn't capture the shining darkness of Faolan's coat in her drawing, but she was glad that she'd at least managed a recognisable sketch of his appearance. It was far from great, but it would serve it's purpose of reminding her of the kelvic boy's animal form and the rest would be up to her memory. She hoped that one day she'd be able to use the sketch as inspiration for her own creation, be it magical or merely a clothing item.

Kamilla had barely spoken when Faolan trotted his way over to her side to look at her work, a hint of embarrassment appearing on her face as the wolf stared at her average attempt. She took the kelvic's nod as one of approval and offered him an appreciative smile, her hand instinctively reaching out to stroke the surprisingly soft fur of his neck, as she had seen many others do with their pet dogs, before quickly retracting it with a look of shock on her face. "Faolan, I'm so sorry! My hand just moved on its own." her tone matched her words, apologetic, she could only imagine how demeaning the act she'd just committed was, treating a person like a pet.

Once she'd gotten her apology out, Kamilla's gaze drifted to the sky, a few clouds flying by in the distance, hiding the the light of Syna and it was only when she finally emerged that Kamilla realised what the time was. Had they really been here that long? It looked to be early afternoon already and she was sure that the innkeeper would have more tattered clothing for her to repair. Casually shoving her stuff back into her bag, Kamilla rose to her feet, her eyes falling on Faolan's wolf form. "I really have to go, but thanks for allowing me to draw you." she started as she turned to walk, freezing in place once more before turning to face the dark wolf, "Would you like me to wait for you so we can walk back together? If not, that's okay, we should do this again sometime." her words were friendly and if he signalled for her to wait, she would, but if not she would offer a simple smile and wave as she left the clearing and headed home.

Faolan jumped a little when she reached out and pet his fur, but didn't react negatively to the touch. He wasn't used to being touched at all; let alone while in his wolf form. He knew she didn't mean any harm, especially once she started apologizing for such an innocent action. He shrugged his shoulders as if to say it wasn't a problem and she shouldn't be so upset about it. He honestly didn't mind as long as it didn't develop into a habit. If it did though he would just start sitting out easy reach.

As they sat in silence he examined the trees lining the little clearing they sat in and wondered at what he would find beyond the city when he did leave. he hoped that it would be far more exciting than his everyday existence. At least meeting Kamilla had given him something different to do, a new friend to make, and someone who knew what he was but who wouldn't hold it against him. He hoped that he would meet more people like her, but knew that his hope was probably misplaced. His mother had always told him that being a Kelvic was dangerous, and he believed her; he had seen the slaves after all.

When his companion put away her things and got up he remained where he was; watching her silently. He thought over he offer to walk back to Zeltiva together and glanced up at the sky in search of the time. Letting out a soft sigh he realized that he did need to head back as well; his mother would be expecting him soon. Giving her a nod he trotted over to where his clothes were sitting in a pile.

In another bright flash of light the wolf disappeared and the naked human boy remained in his place. Pulling his clothes back on only took a few moments. Upon being ready he went over to stand next to her and gave her a faint smile. "Shall we?" he inquired as he motioned to the path ahead of them. He had never taken an actual path up or down the mountain before. He had always taken whatever route he deemed best fit for his purposes. At the moment though the actual path served to best fit his purpose of going home alongside his new friend.
