The evening was quiet, and practically silent : save for the sound of insect swarms outside the makeshift entrance to the jungle home. A gentle breeze rolled in, and with it additional noise stemmed from the leaves as they shook back and forth. The weather on Syka seemed to be a temperamental beast of its own. He disliked the way that the rain came spontaneously, and how more often than not he returned home covered in mud. The lifestyle was one he would easily become accustomed to: as he never expected to be here. After the trip to a nearby village to get rid of the pest that was the sibling to his bondmate; his time away from her resulted in lengthy sessions of lovemaking, cuddling, and showing appreciation for Kaie.

During all the time they spent away from one another the only thing they learned was how strong the bond was. Without Kaie at his side: Sky felt incomplete, and almost as if he was disconnected from the thing that kept him alive. He wondered how she felt during those troubled times, and what her adventures were like so far away from his grasp. The nights without her were long, and spent in a state of restlessness. Despite the fact that they had spent the entirety of a season together; he could not believe that she traveled across the world to find him. Yet, she arrived by ship on the day of their reunion. Sky knew that he would never leave her side again from that day onward, and promised her several times over that he would not allow it to occur.

He would fight tooth and nail if that meant protecting his beloved Myrian. She was tucked beneath him, and he found that her rump rested against his manhood. Nothing was more comforting than her presence. The smell of his beloved woman woke him in the morning, and guided him toward sleep; her gentle touch made his chest rise and fall on a whim, her kisses stole his breath away, and her love made him enjoy the fact that he was alive. Although the night was not a time when she enjoyed being woken up; they slept through the entirety of Synas embrace. He wanted to wake her in the most pleasant way possible, and that began with Sky initiating the next physical encounter. Sky gently brushed her hair aside, and his heart began to race whilst he kissed her nape several times. In between the kisses he spoke a single statement repeatedly. “Wake up, beautiful.”

His hands quickly found themselves occupied with other areas of her body without that being his intention. Being that his left arm rested beneath her: grabbing her breast was no challenge while his right hand found itself occupied with her right breast. His thumbs circled the sensitive flesh located at the center of both breasts momentarily. Sky quickly transitioned down to her inner thighs while he continued to deliver gentle kisses along her nape.

Control. It wasn't a concept Kaie was necessary adept with. A wound to her ego or a spark set to her incendiary temper was usually enough to spiral the savage woman toward violence, usually one that included unsheathed blades than sharp tongues. Despite her character flaws, however, it was rare she didn't fall under the illusion she wasn't sitting firmly in the driving seat of her own life. Her actions were her own. She was no slave to her feelings. A level of dedication and determination throughout her tumultuous lifetime had gifted her with physical prowess, which left her confident she could dispatch most existential threats. All that comfort went away the moment Skyard disappeared from the bed they shared in Riverfall. There a moment, gone the next.

The separation was nothing short of unbearable. Her mind had become a prison, no, a dungeon in which her own thoughts turned on her like disloyal canines snapping their fangs. Emotional fits as a result too often led to novice mistakes in judgement and unnecessary bloodshed. Dira's embrace, a thing once struggled vehemently against, became something to lust after on the assumption it might offer her reprieve from her own suffering. Control and comfort were long forgotten things. Like a plucked plant, she floated in uncertainty, the visionless tendrils of her dangling roots desperately reaching for ground without a clue of its distance below. The consequences of bonding with a Kelvic were unprecedented and quite literally nothing she could've imagined.

Luckily that era was long gone. Once more Skyard was returned to her bed to remind her of his affections. If Jeida hadn't voluntarily elected to stay at the Village of the Shining Scales, the nearly non-stop chorus of primal affirmations of ecstasy and rocking furniture would've sent her running to the perilous jungle seeking refuge from their marathon. At some point that night the pair must've retired. The rhythmic rise and fall of Skyard's chest against her back had been reassuring. His arms wrapped about her body seemed to promise he'd let nothing so easily tear him from her side as they slept again. The soreness that lingered in her muscles cascaded her further and further down into the deepest depths of slumber...until it was her lover, not Syna, that roused her from rest.

His lips pecked gently about her throat between murmured coaxings back toward the waking world. The Myrian woman groaned at her natural alarm clock despite the tiniest smile that turned the corners of her lips. She hadn't even been given the time to blink open her tired eyes before he filled both his hands with her. Always a greedy bastard, she thought even as her lower lip fell victim to her teeth. Tan hands slipped up to cup over his. But don't stop.

"Sky," Kaie half-heartedly protested him though sleep was now far gone from her focus. Amber eyes blinked open and the exhausted smile spread just a bit wider across her face. She led one of his hands away from her chest slowly up toward her face. Her fingers pried his index away from his other digits, gently extending it so she could suckle and suggestively slide it between her lips. Do all couples begin their days this way?

Kaie liberated his finger from her tease just before she rolled over to face her bondmate. Rather than return the hand in her possession back to her chest, she placed it firmly upon her glutes. Knowing him, he certainly wouldn't mind. The Myrian maneuvered her body closer until their hips practically touched. Her chin tilted back to look up at Sky. "I'd ask you what's on your mind but I think I already know."

The moment she turned herself toward him, and re-positioned his hands onto her glutes he smiled at his wonderful lover. Her statement was correct: She certainly did know what was on his mind. Their track record of constant lovemaking became nearly routine, but each and every time had always been far different. Experimentation was a must with every intimate encounter they had, and he accepted no less than the best. She brought herself so close to him that the distance between them was nearly nonexistent. The soft and yet firm feeling of her warm glutes in his hands aroused him almost instantly. His manhood had not yet fully risen, but Sky proceeded to kiss his beloved Myrians lips. When he began the process of waking her, and she gave a light protest only to smile in turn his heart raced.

My goodness I could never begin to resist her touch why must she be so perfect?

In response, the Lion spoke to his bondmate “Of course you know what is on my mind. By now you should be able to practically feel what it is I am thinking. Judging by that sudden feeling of excitement, and extreme happiness something tells me you did not want me to stop. “ He spoke to her with just a hint of arrogance, and his expression went from a smile to a smirk in an instant. Sky was in love with her after all; if he decided against teasing her at every opportunity he would become boring.

Instinctively, Sky rolled over in order to get on top of her, and slid his right leg in between her own. Shortly after he managed to slip his leg in between hers; Sky proceeded to spread the Myrians legs open as his knees landed on the combination of wood and leaves beneath them. Luckily for them as they slept nude; Syka never became too cold regardless of the season, and thus they could simply be together nude all they pleased. Her body daunted him, and no matter how many times he explored each and every inch of her he always managed to find something new.

This time he managed to find a beautiful birth mark, but he did not attempt to make it known. Sky instead removed his hands from her glutes in order to explore the Myrians arms. Her flesh was soft, and her core was slightly chiseled. She certainly did keep in shape regardless of where she seemed to go. The predator took a moment to admire every single aspect of her: from her intensely colored amber eyes, to her lovely beautifully tanned skin, and soft, silky hair. He began the journey with a kiss upon her lips, followed by a kiss on her chin, and he continued the descent toward her windpipe. When he reached the middle of her breasts; he took his time and carefully licked the sensitive hill located at the centers of them both several times. Sky wanted to make her squirm before he began with the fullest extent of pleasing her.

We will see just how durable you are, Warrior.

He was always so smug in moments like this: the short frame before their intimacy began. It was in his eyes, in his smirk as he stared down upon her with a leg strategically occupying the space between hers. He was a driven lover. Sky was a man eager to please, and while it was not the only quality she fancied, it was one that she indeed loved him for.

Kaie carefully watched Skyard's blue eyes while he took his time venturing about her. His fingertips teased at her warm skin with a feather-like gentleness. In the past she might've begun their battle there, searched for some way to capture his attention. Instead she was content to allow him to rove her naked frame without protesting. The perpetual desire to remain hyper-vigilant even within his arms was beginning to die away. In its place was the rapidly growing trust she fiercely possessed in him. There was no denying the evident truth: he belonged to her as much as she belonged to him.

"Sometimes I think you're starting to know me better than myself," Kaie murmured when his kiss maneuvered past her lips to other parts of her body. Her amber eyes found themselves staring upward. The reality of the world around her was beginning to settle upon her again as it had each morning before. Finally, she was home. It seemed like forever since she'd heard the subtle shake of thick jungle leaves in the breeze, the not-so-distant crash of the ocean upon nearly undisturbed sand, and the occasional sound of wildlife as she did now. Upon Falyndar's earth and within her lover's bed, she almost felt completely whole again. Almost.

"Is this your plan?" Kaie asked between smoother breaths as Sky continued to tease at her chest. "Spend the whole day in bed?" The shifting of her body beneath his touch would've made a less experienced man believe she might've been trying to escape him. Thanks to the bond, Skyard would need no coaching to know it was just the to the contrary. Her amber eyes peered down at the top of his unorthodox white hair with a small shrug. "Not that I mind."

Forcing a delay in his response, the Myrian leaned upward and coaxed his chin toward hers with her fingertips. Her lips upon lacked the urgency he'd come to know so well. This time her kisses were soft and with intention, moving at a leisurely pace that suggested she knew she quite literally had all the time in the world to make such moments with Skyard last. Kaie's left hand cupped the side of his face as though to temporarily hold him there. The right glided along his rib cage until her fingertips found opportunity to trace down along the center of his spine.
