Important Notice
Hello Folks.
Our host is retiring our Server as of September 1st. That means Tarot will have to bundle up our site, migrate it to a new server, and reopen it. Then our URLs will have to be repointed to the new server. All that means downtime before September 1st.
And as of right now, I don't know when this will occur. I will let YOU know as soon as I know. However, what that means is we might very well be down for the last day or even for a few days before Season Change. That means any last minute posting, placing placeholders, getting requests in... etc should be done NOW rather than later... because it might very well be that we are down on the 30th... and its hard to predict when URLs are repropagated how long that takes. It varies.
Again... this is coming this week. I have no idea how long it will take (what problems will arise) or how long it will take for the url to be pointed to the new ip. If I know the IP ahead of time I can give you the direct link... but again... I don't know when this will happen. If it doesn't happen, we will absolutely be down on September 1st and gone.
I don't want this to happen. Miz is important to so many of us. So please spread the word and let people know this message is here. ST's. Please post in your forums and remind folks as well.

Wilderness Survival
Hi Folks!
I'm just posting up a quick message to remind you that if you are out in the wilderness alone or in groups, you should be of a level of Wilderness Survival (or someone in the group should be) to be in that Wilderness and survive. Miz is a wild place. There are nasty creatures out there that will eat you. Weather will kill you. Exposure will even do you in. So if I see anyone (or any moderator does) not escorted in the wilderness by an appropriate NPC/PC with the correct level for that Wilderness.... you will be PM'd or your thread will be locked or jumped into and an encounter you probably can't win will happen.
I'm serious about skills.
There are PCs throughout the game that have worked really hard to develop their WS skills. And those PCs that are walking around unaffected and not bothering developing their WS are just flying the bird at those hard working pcs. Its exactly like someone who's a master at sword watching someone with no sword XP cutting a swath of death and destruction through a violent rioting crowd in Sunberth.... and its annoying.
The Wilderness Survival Article clearly states which regions require which WS skill levels. In fact, its the first thing listed in the article.
Out of character note:
The following list is a region by region notation of what skill level is required to survive in the various regions listed. Eyktol E+, Cyphrus C+, Sylira C+, Taldera (Forest) C+, Taldera (Arctic) E+, Kalea M+, Falyndar E+, The Suvan Sea C+, The Outer Oceans E+
Of course, N=Novice, C=Competent, E=Expert, M=Master. Notice none of the Wilderness areas are Novice level? Yea... that's for cities.
If you are part of a Settlement out in the wilderness, you are offered an additional level of protection and 'settlement' that allows you to get by with lower levels of WS as long as you are not alone, away from the settlement, or take a PC/NPC with you who has WS.
Going forward, this will be absolutely enforced.
