Day 1 of Fall, Year 511AV The day was gray. It was getting chillier, the fall months would soon wish to give way to winter and though she was from Taldera she had no desire to see snow or anything close to it. The current dimness of the after was putting her in a mood that would gain her nothing for the day. But her persona for the town was beginning to annoy her; there was only so much goodwill she could handle before she desperately needed to rip someone’s heart from their chest. She was also tired of being only in her human form, running her tongue along her teeth, the slick hardness of each tooth only serving to anger her. She wanted them sharp, much like her teeth in snake form. Pressing her lips together tightly she leaned slowly against a nearby wall a slow hiss leaving her lips as the cool cement chilled her skin but when it did not disappear she relaxed slightly. She had to be careful in this city, for true to its nature it shifted much like her forms and one moment she could be leaning against a wall the next there would be no wall. Still she stayed, partially because she did not want to be stuck in the wild during the winter months and partially because she knew her brother was in the city for the same reason; somehow he had managed to elude her when she got to close but he was there, of that there was no doubt. Closing her eyes briefly she rubbed her hand against her stomach, flat and smooth one would not be able to tell she had eaten only a few days ago, travelers had camped just outside the city and found a weary and hungry young woman who traveled alone. They had four children, two infants, one young man and themselves, but being so close to Alvadas they had no problems giving her food and water and shelter. In return the travelers never made it to the city. They had been amusing, that was certain but she had bored with their pleading, they hadn’t screamed only plead and whined. A small pout crossed her features, they had made it thoroughly boring. Tapping a sharp nail at her chin her eyes roamed the area, though it was overcast people still milled about, with purpose and some undoubtedly lost. The tapping stopped when she seen him. He was handsome with a strong jaw, obviously he was not Dhani but neither was he human, he would put up a fight. Her lips stretched in what one could only guess was a smile, it would give her a chance to rid herself of her ‘happy-go-lucky’ persona she had acquired there. Glancing at her clothes she purposely tugged her dress a little lower and ran her fingers through her hair, she did not have a well curved body but neither was she ugly. Lowering her eyes she swayed over to the man and if one stared enough it would be obvious she was not completely human any more than the man was. As she got closer she noted he was, in fact, quite tall. Still it was not too much a difference and when she got close enough—thankfully the street hadn’t shifted—she rested a slim hand on his shoulder in greeting before pulling it away. “You look a little lost. I can take you to the sanity center…or elsewhere.” Blunt and to the point there was no denying what her true goal was. But she had no doubt in her abilities, her voice floating towards him with soft and coy. He would be hers, if only for the day.
