Feraoun, Zayar The Starfaring Shadow Basic Information Name: Zayar Feraoun Race: Akalak Age: 78 Birthday: Winter of 434 AV   Character Appearance Standing at a solid seven foot eight inches, Zayar is one of the more less noticeable Akalak, keeping his defining physical traits to a minimal he tends to stand out less than his more flamboyant brethren. He has a pair of piercing silver eyes that tend to lose focus when he's switching personalities. The more focused his eyes become tend to denote which personality is in control. He has short black hair done in spikes with a single black braid going down to his neck. Crisscrossing his deep red skin are a series of tattoo like glyphs that had been applied by his grandfather and had subsequently grown with him. The marks covered most of his body from the base of his legs to the sides of his face with two long dark gray stripes come down from under his eyes. These two stripes would flow down dipping below his shirt line and reappear on his arms as a series of stars surrounded by warping lines that emulated a double helix. His clothes are close to normal, sporting a rather normal red cotton shirt under a black fur sleeved vest. On his arms were a pair of black cotton arm warmers. For pants he wears a pair of black Cotton pants that have close to six pockets which hold various items of interest. Strapped under his belt is his Lakan, the warped dagger pointed down to allow ease of access. Strapped to his back is his travel pack, his Bastard Sword strapped along the side which is attached to his back to make it easier to carry. On the side of the pack is his gauntlet and handaxe.   Character Concept Being an Akalak, Zayar manages to keep his two different personalities and spirits otherwise under control, however it is actually a small known fact that he is inhabited by a third more subtle personality which people who he meet sometimes mistaken for his repressed personality due to the harsh condescending tone it takes with people. His main two personalities tend to flow into each other as they have similar goals and aspirations. Born with both already there and freely taking control whenever the other wasn't looking, he slowly over time got used to his two 'normal' sides. There is the quieter, contemplative and slightly musical Zayar who tends to be more business oriented and tends to keep control when doing work and handling his glyphs, and then there is the battle ready Zayar who has the natural warrior spirit that flows through every Akalak in Mizahar. The second personality tends to cut loose more and allow what Zayar truly means to say come free, and is known to be more of a 'Ladies Personality'. The third personality is complete bat shit insane. Taking his suppressed killer instinct this personality runs purely on the emotion that's in place when it forcibly takes control. Generally it only breaks free due to extreme anger, sadness, or fear and has the job of protecting Zayar even if it means killing. When this personality is in charge Zayar doesn't generally recognize friend or foe and will strike out at anything that could remotely be a threat to him. If it feels overpowered it will cause him to flee even when it knows it won't be able to escape.   Character History Young Akalak Life The first and only child of Hanz Feraoun and the Konti Fiale, Zayar was born into happy wedlock of his parents in a rare snowy day on the Winter Equinox, the first day of the Winter Season and the shortest. Immediately his parents could tell their son had his head in the stars and would literally spend hours of a night watching them after a particularly strenuous

Weighing about 1.35 kilograms it's a bit lighter than most Long swords as it was forged out of stronger yet lighter material. Carved into the blade are several runic glyphs that have been constantly tested before use and maintain the blades strength and integrity over the years. - Has the ability to seal rogue magic and blood within itself to power the glyphs, The blade has it's own sentient personality that will sometimes take over in battle if the urge has not been sated in a short enough period. Rivwald Handaxe A simple Handaxe that was designed similarly in shape to a Lakan. The curved handle and blade make it easier for the axe to fly through the air when thrown. N/A Myri's Protector Teethed Gauntlet Similar to most gauntlets, it is comprised of several sections of plate mail attached to a leather sleeve thats lined with cotton for comfort. The gauntlet covers the entire arm up to the shoulder and comes with adjustable straps to fit any adult male user. -Allows the user to capture and disarm the opponent. Bloody Tooth Lakan Constructed out of a single piece of flattened twisted metal, Bloody Tooth continues the tradition of Lakan's by being completely unique and not having one but two blades fixed into it. Both blades are serrated along the cutting and allow the user to swing the dagger either way like a pair of knuckle dusters. N/A
