"Your wrists and palms can support your weight, but your fingers have to put up with holding that thing in place. If you continue training, you should grow callouses where you hold the weapon. Or, you could buy some fingerless gloves and ease the stress faster." He said with a smirk. "Everyone who ever stood where you are right now went through the same experience."

Wys started to really feel his arms ache. He didn't even like to use shields, they were so bulky, but it always helped to carry one. Irony at its finest. He looked at her flexing fingers and started becoming concerned, "No blisters?"

[Training]Center of Balance(Fade)

Se smiled at the thought of how many people before her had stood in her exact same place, it was a strange thought.

“Not yet” She grimaced and then smiled “But I’ll be fine, I’m used to worse”

She thought and asked “You told me to plan ahead but now its easy, but how can you plan ahead when someone is planning against you” She smiled at the muddled words that she had just said.

She balanced the sword and passed it from hand to hand, balancing it and swinging it in turn.
She tied her white blonde hair back in the heat.

"The general idea is to plan ahead. Everyone has a weak spot, may it be some feelings of guilt, or quickness to anger, or some previous injury. Use it. Be smarter than your opponent, don't play his or her game, play your own. It's always easier said than done, but the second you start feeling overwhelmed, defend, make room, and back off." Wystern was reciting everything he was taught as a squire.

"There is always an aspect in which you are stronger, speed, stamina, agility. Compensate that for your weakness, and overwhelm the other with it."

Fade thought about her weaknesses, she wasnt strong or experienced but she was agile and quick.
Fade started to dart quickly from side to side attacking Wystern. She was almost doing a circle around him, blows equally heavy from left to right and right to left.
It was difficult to plan ahead her blows but now she had something to think about, agility and stamina.
She wielded the practice sword not as clumsy stick anymore, she had a good idea about balance and it didn`t tremble in her hands anymore even though they hurt.

"So,whats the next step?"She said between slashes.

She darted behind him and slashed upwards. The blow was slower than her other ones being a cut from down to up thus using more energy and muscles.

"The next step is to practice against someone who attacks back. Don't worry I will go easy." Just as he said that he threw off the shields, annoyed at how slow his arms were starting to move. A wide upward slash came just as he said that, Wys had to jump back to avid that one. At this point Fade saw an opening, thrusting the sword straight, right on the target. Wys clapped, catching the wooden blade between his palms, but the tip got to him. He smiled with a very satisfied look.

"Well done. Next step it is. Take a break, you will need it." Wys said, smiling as he walked off to pick up the other practice sword and feeling it out. Fade showed great promise at this point in time.

"The next part of the training as about footwork. The last time it was important, but you never tried to kick me down. This time, kick, trip, do whatever to gain an advantage over experience. Do not fight like a knight, fight like a soldier."

She put the practice sword down and relaxed her muscles, she stretched her arms above her head flexing her dingers and her spine very arched, she held the position until she felt better. She calmed her breathing by taking long breaths, she watched as Wystern took up another practice sword.

She smiled and said “Soldier it is then, bring it on” She shrugged, she positioned herself not like before, with the sword above her head but with the practice sword in front of her so not to leave her chest open.

She thought about what he had said, about the footwork surley it wasnt the only part of the body she could use, is she were quick enough she could get behind him and plant an elbow right on his spine. She she narrowed her eyes as she fingered the hilt of the practice sword it would be difficult to cross the distance between them to trip anybody up. She shrugged time would tell.

She struck the first blow just to see how he would react to it, she wanted to know how it felt to parry balance wise too.

Wys immediately took stance, and hit Fade's sword down, stepped on the end as his own blade held it there, and pu his hand on the hilt of he sword. "This isn't particularly fair, but extremely effective if you know what you are dong. It is not exactly easy to do anything from this point for either of us. If I let go of your blade, you have the advantage to thrust and I would have the the chance to slash. Ideally, these lock-ins happen fairly often, not necessarily like this, but often they either end with both parties retreating or both parties killed." He smiled, let go and hopped away about two feet, leaving some room between them.

"Try to hit me in the chest again, or knock me down, that includes forcing me into an evasive roll; either would work. Remember, this isn't fair in terms of experience, but you can do something I can't. Find a way to use it." Wys took stance, his blade point down, the sword horizontal to his head, and began waiting, or baiting.

"Honor is for those who know how to fight dirty. Because they possess the knowledge, they can deem to be noble enough not to use the moves, but see through them; it is also for those who think themselves to arrogant to not use some of those very effective moves, which in many cases results in death."

Fade frowned and thought of what he had said Honour is for those who know how to fight dirty, she had never thought about it

She positioned herself in a low guard and threw herself bodily forward just to dart away sideways at the last moment swinging the sword forwards aiming for his back.

But she quickly stopped the slash aware that she had all her side open she dropped back.
She bit her lip and then got an idea she cut downwards aiming for his ankles, he parried she kept pressure on her sword blocking his even though he was much stronger than her. She quickly twisted and sent an elbow in his stomach using her while weight to block his sword still locked with hers. It was risky but at least, he wasn’t expecting it. She darted away to afraid of giving him time to recover.

She breathed in slowly and cut again directly to his chest surging forward.

She asked "How many women are trained to sword fight?”

"Not sure of the number. I can tell you who are though. Those that consider swordsmanship to be an art. Those that were widowed, or otherwise harmed, and decided to learn to fend for themselves. Those women who have discovered a talent for a blade. And sometimes those that enjoy wielding a weapon and later become a weapon." He said and then chuckled.

He rarely hit back in the way she couldn't block. Even if she missed the timing of the swing, the blade would come to a gentle tap as Wys pulled it away. "I'm sorry, but I honestly hate hitting women without the life or death necessity. That is probably a sexist notion, but my master drilled that notion into my brain."

She smiled and rolled her eyes playfully and replied “So you are a real knight after all”

She relaxed putting her blade on the ground, and flexed her stiff fingers; she gestured at his hands and said “I guess you could walk all day on your hands…” She trailed of and asked “I trust you can hand balance?”
Even if he could she had no doubts he had more than enough muscle for it, it was just getting up the problem, and of course staying there and being able to move.

Anyway she could show him, she needed a break her body was not used to sword fighting
