So, I posted this question in the Chat as well, but... It might be interesting to get an answer or more thoughts in here, as well.
The Valterrian killed a whole lot of people on Mizahar. The population dwindled very dramatically and only a small portion in comparison is alive today with population numbers in any city only numbering in the thousands. That's very low.
And, we also know that reincarnation is a thing in Mizahar. Souls come back to live many different lives, swinging through the cycle time and time again.
... But what happened with all of those souls following the Valterrian? Not all o f them could possibly have reincarnated after that because there just weren't enough people around to make new hosts for all of them. Did they just disappear? Are they still around somewhere, standing in line to be reincarnated?
Did they reincarnate as monsters or animals?
Even then, does that really cover for all of them? Even the Ghost population is very small, all things considered, if you look at the amount of death in the Valterrian. |

Following the Valterrian, the souls of those who perished would have ended up in a number of different places. Of course there are those who reincarnate on Mizahar as other creatures (any of the sentient races, animals, and so on). Others would remain dormant in the Chavena (see Dreamwalking). Some would go to the Ukalas and be with the Divine in the various realms the gods have created for themselves. Others also would have wound up reincarnating on different worlds. A good number would remain as ghosts. The Valterrian did play a major role in disrupting the Ukalas, take the Ethaefal and their entire existence. With that in mind, there will be a lot of uncertainty thrown into the whole cycle of life and death and reincarnation. |
