The title is a failure at the humor of 'breakin'-da-rules' for the language. Anywho! I'm Ry, as far as I'd like to be noted as [xD], and am really glad to be here. I've heard and seen some other forums, but this one, while as established as therest, does have a unique backstory and tighter knit community that I'd prefer working with. By the way...I've stalked the forums a bit....OH MY GOD, good stuff. :)

My RP experience is pretty thorough, I guess. I found the concept on Star Craft:Brood War and got the hang of it there. WarCraft3 futhered my writing and character development. Finally, World of Wwarcraft's Moonguard server was a flop. The oddity I assume I'll encounter is matching the post length. The immediate demand of interaction in the previous games makes conversation short and quick, most of the time, with most details left to be udnerstood or ignored.

Speak of the devil...a SC pal I know as Juli [PCs:Maya, Guy L.] linked the forum and babbled about how amazing everyone is. I wasn't disappointed when I browsed the site. Between my browsing and her explaination...persuassion...I conjoured up quick a few radical ideas, but I decided to leave those at the door. D: Plans whose failures can debatably end in the Valterrain 2.0 are -really, really bad-, obviously.

While I'm used to a cycle of building a place for an hour then RPing out a plot in 1-2 hours in a sandbox map, I can't say I love it. The general population of battle.net roleplayers has degraded, and frankly put, it sucks! I like to see a physical world that will change and take the effects of my actions[One reason this interesting private WoW server caught my eye, alas that failed.]. WC3 RP clan HoRP almost provided this possibility but that crumbled. SO, here I am staring at the best opportunity available. I can't call it my favorite yet, but I got high hopes, kinda-sorta. :D

The most writing I do is for school work which isn't that entertaining-and quite annoying when I spend hours getting excited over how nice my work sounds to have it thrown back with the note for passive voice all around...
I've had midnight inspirations for poems and stuff though, most of which would probably sound corny if fully thought out.

I found the backstory to the Valterrain to be very interesting, yet kind of vague. I find it odd how the King and Queen could be so different and pair up, even if one was trying to save her country. I also see Ivak as misunderstood, though how many people knew he was the queen's bed mate.

I can't call it frustrating, but it gave me a scare:the wiki and forum get me lsot some times. I tried logging on the wiki and it said I had invalid info and alsmot paniced. Other than that, it's a bit of a let down that some links aren't even briefly developed[though i totally understand everyone running the site is busy and has done an excellent job thus far].

I'm looking to expand my writing in general-style, elaboration, use of devices, etc. I'm not sure if I will persue a writing career, but it would be nice to expand this anyway.

Going back to something I left at the door...[kidding]...it would certainly be interesting if the plot I thought up unfolded, though it can't considering the impact it would have would be indefiante and well...far-fetched. I'll leave Ivak's redemption to the forum founders.[though if you want to hear about it...ask; it's a pretty radical idea, and the thought of it is satisfying enough]

That's about it for now, I'll see how things go from here. :) Oh, almost forgot, hi everyone!

Welcome to Mizahar, Ry! It's definitely a good idea to read as much lore as possible before developing ideas; that way, there's less "oh wait, this won't work, now I have to scrap everything" and oftentimes the lore will give you ideas.

Don't forget the basics, though: Starting Guide.

Come into chat sometime and meet us!

Hello Vyalomn,

and welcome to Mizahar! :) To answer your question, the marriage of Galifer and Kova was obviously not a union of love. It was a marriage of state forged for political reasons, as has been the norm throughout real life history. Often, the ruler of a dominating country would marry a member of the annexed country's royal family to add legitimacy to his conquest, and cement his leadership (and especially that of his offspring) over the defeated country. In the case of Suvan and Alahea, it was the only alternative to full genocide of the Alahean people. Hope that helps!

Thaks Tarot - I got that, but I was surprised a character like Galifer would take a political route considering the savage character attached to him, though I'd imagine he did have some 'other' interests.

Wow thanks Juli, about time you found me.

Uhm, I brought it up in the chat like a "lol what does this do" discussion...Valterrain 2.0 was frowned upon. xD -and I found a few other holes in terms of Ivak's redeption...
1)how would you prove the corruption of the Azneth[spell check>.>;Ivak's cult]
2)Ivak's champion has a strong connection to him; assuming Ivak felt the evil the champion would need to commit odds are he'd turn the gnosis marks to curse marks...unless the champion's intent was very pure and cold[which might borderline insanity...]
3)-Everyone- was unhappy with the Valterrain. An overlooking god/dess would probably do all in their power to stop such a thing.
4)Assuming the destruction of Syl-city [FFFF!!!], what forces would be left to rally against Sunberth/Nuit/Azneth/other "bad guys". [this is so not my day for memorizing these names]
5)The probability of Ivak falling in love again is rare A)who could truly replace Kova? B)Would he even consider risking the world again C)What if he's never freed... D)Would the guardians dare release Ivak even if the need for him was so great? E)Is it possible for Ivak to overpower his seal with the "worship" of X amount of people
6)For Ivak's seducer to do her job she'd need to be very true in heart of it which might be difficult if she is aware of the intent-Ivak being able to detect deciet more than likey, among other problems.
7)The power of a god at your side is "too great" for any one player to manipulate.
8)The original plan was based on an ideal "plan", there are -many, many- external factors that would more then likely destroy the plan and leave it unfinished without the total support of Ivak's cult which even then can be unrealistic[unrealistic things on a fantasy forum? lolwut?] considering "human nature" [our portaits of the races/characters/etc.] will probably drive the majority to not sacrifice their reputations for their god unless they are utterly devout followers.
9)Other reasons.

FYI: Valterrain 2.0 plot:
-Champion[or to-be champion] of Ivak raises two to be followers of Ivak
-Over time, followers, at least 1 female, grow up with the training specified for the plan to come
--Female-seductress meant to mimic Kova and seduce Ivak
--Other to later push the plan forward
-Champion destroys Syl-city via volcano thereby destroying the prized city of Mizahar to many
--In doing this, the blame would need to be directed towards A)Ivak's cult, thereby showing fault in its intents and bringing forth the need for the god and his true intent 1)it can be viewed as a plan of Ivak's and ruin it entirely 2)Renegade cultist who kills himself-rebuild-move on B)Sunberth and residents with the cult's involvement[corrupted] 1)Is it like such two forces would ally eachother 2)Sunberth working as a whole may be sketchy...even with the cult's assistence or force form the cult[threats, etc.]
--Not everyone is at a loss, and if the majority of people who would be upset are killed the plan fails
-Survivors are driven by Other follower of Ivak[gnosis 3 needed for emotional influence beyond rhetoric]to begin yet another war like that of the Suvan and Alahea emipires, obviously on a bit of a smaller scale.
-War grows beyond the control of the gods and mortal races, Ivak being needed to release the emotional pressure and thereby redeem himself
--Previously mentioned arguements involving Ivak's freedom and intent
--Rhystol would feed off of the chaos and become a threat to the plot?
-Between the raising of the female follower [assuming Ivak's sexual interests] and the "present" she would need to intice him...odds of her even catching is attention are slim unless she showed potential to rise to a "champion" status or some relationship that would solidify a strong enough connection for Ivak to notice and fall for her
--Ivak doesnt fall for it
--other emotional issues
-Ivak is released to clear his name with female follower at his side to keep him "stable" till he can cope with life as an immortal or bring said follower to a divine status[as Avalis was raised into divinity]
--Ivak sees/senses deciet and triggers Valterrain 2.0...[oh shi-]
--Ivak is free and returns to isolation leaving the world to ruin feeling it would be better than risking Valterrain 2.0
--other

Again...a LOT can go wrong with this, obviously. It's still a funny thought, odd funny not "haha"-funny...for you overly sensative types...
