Agoril Slysteel Pitrius

Appearance

Race: Isur
Gender: Female
Age: 62
Birthday: 8th of Fall, 453
Birthplace: Sultros

Appearance: Bearing the unimposing height of most Isur, Agoril stands at an even five feet in height. Her pale skin has a bluish tinge to it while her hair is a bluish-tinted black. The Isur's dark brown eyes do not give her a bright appearance. She has a silver-veined onyx-black right arm that has a metallic tinge to it, for it is indeed the blessed arm of an Isurian. On her brow is a horizontal ridge, giving her a stoic and brooding appearance that can be unsetlling to those that know her well.

Agoril on average is very fit. She is possessed of a great, stocky and buxom physique that hints at her strength but doesn't truly compare. Standing with her back straight at all times, she rarely smiles or smirks and carries herself in a manner that makes her appear stoic and fierce. Agoril weighs around 200 lbs, with a very dense frame that is deceptively heavy. The Isur keeps her hair short-trimmed, and rarely wears anything to enhance her natural beauty. In terms of outfits, she prefers shades of brown and grey or black but generally wears a short top with no sleeves to cover her breasts and expose her abdomen and physique.

Scars: Agoril bears a brand in the form of the Isurian rune for 'exile' upon her left cheek.

Character Concept

An Isur, Agoril is reserved with her attachments to others and isn't one for chit chatting over subjects she isn't interested in. She is also introspective and self-punishing, perhaps even more so than other Isur her age. She deliberately waits for more information before acting upon something, but there are rare times where her emotions can get the better of her and lead her into anger-fueled recklessness. It is this buried passion within her that has driven her to the furthest corner of Mizahar in search of violence to quench it. Unlike most other Isur, she is impatient when she has made up her mind and will often step over others to get what she wants in a timely manner.

She still feels at home in a forge, and she still has a bond with Izurdin that she cares about even though she feels as if Izurdin had let her down somehow. Before her exile, she was much more faithful. Agoril respects good craftsmanship, and frowns upon shoddy and terrible creations made for sale. Her true calling however is demonstrating her strength and superiority. She gets a thrill out of combat that leads her to seek it and bait it into fruition. This trouble-seeking attitude makes every day of her life a dangerous one. That's not to say that she's a barbarian, for she will still think about the consequences of getting involved in such things unless her anger consumes her. She fights just as much with her body as her weapon, seeking to permanently settle fights with little regard for the one who loses. Well, maybe she is a bit of a barbarian. But don't tell her that.

Agoril considers her impact on society to be something she can measure in terms of her accomplishments. The Isur views the entire city of Sunberth as her canvas, and she wishes to civilize the city in some way with her power alone. This is of course impossible, but good luck trying to get that through to her.

Character History

Much of her rather unique behavior stems from the complicated political backdrop of her family. A member of the Pitrius clan, her family was no stranger to lies, deception, and politics. She was framed by a fellow Magecrafting apprentice, and her family failed to defend her. She subdued the accuser and carved 'Liar' deeply into his chest with a dagger, and then she was exiled from all Isurian lands for both crimes. She promised her family that she would one day return, but over the years doubts have formed within her mind that there will ever be a chance for her to make things right.

At the gates of the border post and accompanied by her family, she said farewell. The Izurdin's Hammer branded her face with the Isurian rune for exile, shed her shackles and set her loose into the unforgiving with the barest of necessities. The coming weeks were difficult for her, but she managed to find her way to Alvadas where she fell into despair and spent a long time coming to terms with the new state of her life. From Alvadas, she sailed across the Suvan to Syliras traveled to Zeltiva, growing ever more resentful of her situation. Eventually, she made her way to Sunberth and settled down to become a mercenary-for-hire and find her way in life.

Gnosis

1st Mark of Izentor
Those marked by Izurdin receive an elaborate tattoo on the shoulder of their primary arm. With a single mark, the individual may impart special properties on a single item that they themselves have personally crafted. The item becomes more durable thus resisting even the most devastating sources of potential damage. Blades will almost never break or dull, armor will almost never dent, cloth will almost never tear or fray and structures may withstand the most devastating weather conditions. It is this god granted gift that makes items crafted by an Isur so highly sought after. The marked may always identify their own crafted items on sight. Imparting these items is a highly taxing process both physically and mentally so much that the crafter must rest for an entire day following the imparting.
