Appearance
-Includes:
Image Physical description,
Image Illnesses, injuries, and their impact,
Image Clothing list.

Appearance
Mortal Seeming
Yolanda stands tall as a proud, straight-spined, lithe, 30-something Myrian woman. Her skin is hazelnut brown with dappled flecks of white pigment across her upper brow, nose ridge, and cheekbones.*A skin condition known as vitiligo in our modern world She has hazel eyes that a framed with laughter lines. Straight black hair falls down to her upper back and it is cut simply.
Ethaefal Seeming
As an Ethaefal, Yolanda always has piercing, almond-shaped deeply cobalt coloured eyes. Her hair is upper back length, straight and glossy, as in her Myrian form. Her skin is pale like the light of the moon, and it is dewy and unnaturally beautiful. Yolanda has short horns that frame her face in a way that is similar to the long, floppy ears you see on some rabbit species. The horns flick outwards slightly at the tips, and end just below and forwards of her chin. Each season brings about a shift in the colouring of her hair and horns, with slight changes each day due to the constantly shifting nature of the deity Leth whom she is devoted to.
Spring
ImageLavendar grey hair that fades to ash grey at the tips.
ImageWhite, albino horns, flecked with grey.
Summer
ImageOnyx black hair, without fading of any kind.
ImageConifer green horns, flecked with palest green.
Autumn
ImagePale gold hair, fading to light russet.
ImageDark yellow horns, flecked with russet.
Winter
ImageSnow white hair, fading to silver at the tips.
ImageAbyss black horns, flecked with dark grey.

Illness & Injury
    Unknown.

Garb & Clothing
The grey dress was a sullen, loosely fitted thing that lay on her frame reluctantly. Despite its poor quality, the Ethaefal woman just about managed to make it look bearable. Perhaps it was due to the hardy brown coat that she held around her shoulders, the coat that hid the ugly sleeves. Her long legs ran straight down into simple cloth sandals that reinforced the image of a beauty dressed in a beggarman's attire.

History & Thread List
-Includes:
ImagePre- and post-history.

Pre- History
Half-Forgotten Memories
Memories. They come to her sometimes- in meditation, in the sudden stillness of a shaft of moonlight, in the listening silence of a bustling crowd. Who she once was...
As a mortal, she had once been a Myrian woman. That was obvious if you took a look at her daytime seeming. She must have been a warrior, a woman of prowess and skill. The scent of blood was a common fragrance for her, and one that Yolanda found strangely appealing, in its rusty, earthy tang. But her day-to-day life was a mystery. Except for the two memories that rang the clearest.
The first was one of elation. Something, or someone, was dead by her hands. It was something that had been a threat to her and to her people, and now it was vanquished. There were fragments of remembrance attached to the image- a mentor's approval, a lover's passionate, triumphant love-making... but most importantly was the Myrian's conviction that she was on a path to greatness. Yolanda called it the Day of Triumph.
The second was one of utter pain. It was the day of her death. Of all the memories that haunted Yolanda, the Day of Torment was the worst. It was her nightmare, firstly because of the utter terror that still permeated her mind from the events of that day (or was it days, weeks, seasons? She never knew), and secondly because of the huge patches of forgotten time that blotted her knowledge like a cloud across the moon. She had fallen from grace, and lost her way. She had been ambushed, and tortured for information she didn't know. She had seen somebody close to her killed in front of her, and finally she had her throat slit badly enough for her to feel the anguish of it for a day before she finally succumbed to death. Yet despite the vividness of the images and the sharpness of screaming that she still felt, the reasoning of it all was lost to her.

Then there were the beautiful memories of her time in Leth's realm. Those memories were her release as they flooded to her on the arrival of evening's mysterious light. A happiness of bondship, a memory of the keenness of learning of things she had never known, the utter devotion and love she had felt for Leth and throughout his domain. She remembered the place through a gauze, could almost picture the lightness and the gloriousness, but never quite imagine it in it's full glory. Despite the fleeting, ephemeral nature of her memories of Leth's realm, it was during her time in Ethaefal seeming that she was most content.
After The Fall
The seas were vast. It was cold, windy, and falling into dusk. The nameless Ethaefal only knew that she was bone-tired and chilled to the core, but that she must move her limbs if she was to remain safe. But which was should she go? For a few moments of sheer panic, she knew not which direction the shore would be. Then Leth's light peered around a cloud, and there was a fishing boat bobbing on the water. With only enough energy to kick, she began to approach the boat, but the waves buffeted and knocked her about, and she swallowed a mouthful of icy, briny water. She choked and coughed and cried as loudly as she was able. Then again, and again, and in desperation she kicked herself as far out of the water as she could and waved her arms. Then she fell beneath the waves and her world went dark.
When she awoke, she was aboard the boat and swaddled in someone's blanket. Three sailors with faces deeply wrinkled with weather and sunshine peered at her with confusion and surprise on their faces. She smiled in gratitude and they smiled back in return, for they had pulled a beauty from the waters. From then on out, she lived aboard the fishing vessel. The sailors treated her as their lucky charm, and in return she simply tried to stay out of the way. Several times they alighted at a nearby city to sell their fish, but she was instructed to remain on board, and so she did. All the while she tried to make sense of her surroundings, her fragmented memories, and herself. But she was like a bird in a cage, and birds desire above all else to be freed. It took the unwanted sexual advances towards her to finally prompt her to steal their dugout canoe and sail to the nearest city, before she was trapped bearing one of their children, stuck forever on the ship.
Welcome To The Beginning
What happens next is unknown. It is the beginning of the story of just one soul in a world full of souls. It is the story of someone who is lost and on a path to discovering themselves again. Finally, it is the story of a woman who finds she will do anything to understand herself at the expense of anyone but herself.
