| Blog Subject: | The obligatory stat post! |
Many of you should know by now that I'm really big on numbers, and while 20,000 posts isn't as ominous a milestone as 1729, it's still worth bragging about. 20,000 is a respectable post count for a still young community with great no-spamming etiquette and a chat replacing the need for trivial posts (though we miss out on such useful reads as "Let's count to 1000!" threads). Several big old pioneers of the PbP format have post counts around 200,000. It'd be good for Miza to be there in 2012, cause you know, it's 2012 so we shouldn't be planning too far ahead. ![]() Over the last 30 days we've served 280,000 pages not including bots, spiders and users with javascript turned off. Our site received 14,000 visits (up 22% from last month) of which about 1,750 were new to the site for a total of about 2,100 unique visitors. We consumed nearly 50 GB of bandwidth, up 40% from last month. The average visitor spends 27 minutes on the site. Now, this is all sweet and stuff, but it is certainly not why most people read my stat entries. What they really want to know is - what are web surfers looking for when they stumble upon Mizahar? And so, we look at the google searches that brought people here over the last month. Thankfully, we've made some progress since the times when we owned the word Maseltoff. Changes made to the forums made it so people are usually looking for fantasy roleplaying stuff when they find us. Er, usually. Ahem. Some people use google as a replacement for the search function, to see the places where their PCs are mentioned. I'm not counting those, or the queries from people who already knew Miza and were looking for a specific page. I won't bore you with the obvious "fantasy rp", "roleplaying plots", lore, etc, either. This leaves the weird long tail keywords. You will be pleased to know we were found on Google thanks to... "in life there are no make ups"' - A strong line from one of Goss' best blogs. "ten ton polar bear" - From Orchid's introduction. "can i use morph more than ones + magic " - not sure what was on this person's mind, but they were presented with our very own Morphing page. Sadly, they did not venture further. Same with..."how morph a person to look like an animal" - Gotta find a tutorial on that! And... "how to physically become morph into someone else" - This is why online scams still work, don't you think? "chortlebomb" - uh... ten Mizas if you can explain this one "curtain player" - apparently the name of a theater, but also related to Malia's scrapbook "divine magic only to chosen people" - I admire this search. It's so matter-of-factly, like a slogan - Syliran jobs for Syliran people! This person was treated to Magic and spent 20 minutes browsing around the site. "fantasy megaerotica" - Now, I kind of know there have been a few... suggestive threads lately, but this? And.. and... it points straight to our front page! ![]() "magick lore become a god" - One has to aim high in life. "gillar monster" - His reputation precedes him. "team varniak" - Burning you at the speed of light! "unbalanced beneath the surface personality" - I like this, so mysterious. Of course, it couldn't point to anything but the Akalak entry. "what are horses special abilities" - Our Horses do it better. "your personal magical divine experiment" - Very scientific, I'm sold. "www.taloba village .com " - ERROR 404 FILE EATEN |

Nice update. I've got to say, 1729 sounds more like a cause to celebrate than to fear. 12, 1, 10, 9. All excellent numbers I think. Oh, and the "fantasy megaerotica" is Jaeden's fault. |

I don't like numbers, but the keywords gave me a good laugh. Thanks for sharing! ![]() I could comment on all of that, but I suppose everyone else thinks similarly ... Megaerotica, wth. And Leo's self-confidence didn't really need the "team varniak". |

Somehow, I knew the fantasy megaerotica would be blamed on me. |

I had a great laugh over that Tarot, especially this one.. "how to physically become morph into someone else" - This is why online scams still work, don't you think? I really liked this one because it opens the door of someone interested in that personality to come, possibly create an akalak, and learn about it through expressive writing. I can see how creative writing in general can be very therapeutic ![]() "unbalanced beneath the surface personality" - I like this, so mysterious. Of course, it couldn't point to anything but the Akalak entry. |
