Earrings of Lie Detection

A pair of diamond drop earrings. When worn, the wearer's ears will tingle if they hear a lie being spoken. However, they will not know exactly what the lie is, only that one has been spoken. Technical truths or lies of omission do not count as direct lies and thus will not trigger the earrings. It is also prudent to take care in public settings, as the earrings may detect a lie picked up in someone else's conversation in the background.
