Bloodfish

Size: 2-4 inches long, 2-3 ounces
Color: Light to Deep Red
Location: Lake Ravok
Lifespan: 1-3 years
General Information: Small minnow-like fish found throughout Lake Ravok, red in color, that travel in large schools that looks like patches of blood floating under the surface of the lake. These fish are often used as bait, and some Ravokian establishments have been known to serve them as appetizers, usually smothered in a sweet, tangy sauce.

Speckled Eel

Size: 15-22 inches long, 1-3 lbs
Color: Yellow, speckled with black
Location: Lake Ravok and other Syliran bodies of fresh water
Lifespan: 3-5 years
General Information: Though not actually an eel, this colorful fish is elongated an cylindrical much like an eel. The fish is common along the northern banks of the lake and is prized by fisherman for it's lobster-like flavor. It is often served boiled and buttered.

Ghost Carp

Size: 2-3 feet, 6-12lbs
Color: pale white or gray, sometimes bluish
Location: Lake Ravok
Lifespan: 5-7 years
General Information: These large fish are relatives of the common carp, however exposure to the shard in lake Ravok has caused their pigmentation to fade and, perhaps the most odd trait of all, they have a strangely human looking "face" on the front of their heads. The additional eyes are not actual eyes, however, and are just an odd scale pattern that these fish possess. They are found in the deeper waters near the center of the lake. They are usually not eaten due to most people being put off by their strange appearance, but they actually have a good taste and are perfectly safe to eat. After the Djed Storm of 2012, there were reports of ghost carp swimming near the surface, some even swimming through the air and passing through walls as ghosts would do. The reports were never unverified, however, and were mostly been written off as drunken fishermen's stories.
Value: Depends on how they are served. See the Fish portion of the price list for details.

On rare occasions it may venture near the shore and has been known to feed on ducks and rarely young children. Color: Grayish white, sometimes with hints of blue
Location: Lake Ravok
Lifespan: 30-40 years
General Information: Another rare sight in the lake, this creature is something of a myth to most Ravokians. The funnel shark lurks in the darkest depths of the lake, swallowing other fish and marine life whole. Its throat is lined with serrated teeth that grind its victims to bits as it sucks them inside. The shark would not hesitate to eat a person if they somehow found themselves at the bottom of the lake and in it's path.

In heavy doses the victim will usually try to take its own life rather than suffer the hallucinations. The poison will eventually cause its victim to suffer a fatal heart attack. In adult humans this takes anywhere from several hours to several days, depending on their overall health and fortitude, but in smaller animals or children it can kill them in minutes.
