This blog i think, will be a bit rambley. I don't like to rant, as I think it is rather unhealthy to dwell on the evils and injustices that may be handed to you. But I do enjoy rambling. Talking and writing about inconsequential things that just make you happy or feel good about the state of the world. It is a rare thing, to read about something good that's happened on the news or to a friend in a letter. I haven't really posted as often as I would have liked the past few weeks. I've been busy with one thing or another. Job hunting, helping my family, applying for the new semester at college, etc., etc. But you know, I'm kind of glad for that. I got to take a break from Mizahar for a while, and immerse myself elsewhere. A friend of mine joined the Marines a while back, and I've finally gotten around to writing letters with him. He's probably my best friend, and I was immensely glad to get back in touch with him. My Cousin got married, hard to believe for me, we're only five years apart. Honestly, I don't think I'm that immature, though undoubtedly some will disagree , but marriage still seems so far off. Anyway, she really did marry a great guy. So I can't be too surprised she fell in love with him so fast.Anyway, as great as those things are, I thought I'd blog mainly about something else today. My appreciation for Mizahar. You see, while I was out and about( actually still am, but its dying down as the month progresses), I didn't have a lot of time to post, but I did have a lot of time to read. And read I did. And I think I really came to appreciate all the hard work and creativity that went into this site. The founders, the players, the Storytellers, they all work together amazingly well. And while there are scuffles and disagreements. I see more unity than dissension. And while I too have had a disagreement or two, I really do think the Founders are a talented bunch. Its just that, I feel like I'm visiting Mizahar for the first time again. And its just as rich as any of the many fantasy books I've read throughout my short life. So, although it may mean little, thank you Founders, thank you Storytellers, and thank you Players of Mizahar. This place is truly fascinating. And I hope you have a great new year, all of you. Anyway, sorry for the ramble. But I felt like I needed to dwell on some of the good things I've succeeded in noticing within my life. Thanks for reading! -Alric Wilmot |
