So, I've been around Mizahar for over a month. I've had my stops and starts, definately with Ayla, but my other character Voco has found his stride, however short it might be(Get it? Cause he's only 5" tall? Arent I funny?).
I've definately had one problem so far with both characters however. Playing with other PCs. While Voco doesnt yet have a thread involving anyone else, it sorta fits his character for the time being. He's trying to learn what happened to him, who he is, and why he knows what he knows.
Ayla however, has had some unfortunate luck. Her thread with Adalaine and Ursus has simply died. Just caput. Haven't seen either of them on for some time. While I understand that real-life is important and takes precedence, it is atleast nice to send a courtesy PM explaining things. So, instead of letting that thread resolve like I would have wanted to, it is sitting where it is and Ayla has ventured forth towards Syliras. Atleast there she is finding someone to play with, considering Jen has promised to come and play with her, and drag Abashi along. Should be fun times, considering Ayla has no damn idea what a Kelvic is. I'm not sure if she will be frightened beyond all else, or incredibly fascinated and want to pet Nya. Either way, it will be fun.
One problem I forsee Voco having, is the simple fact that he is a Wizard, with a capital W. There are not many other Wizards running around, the only one that I know of is Syfec, and he's up in Syliras(not to mention dealing with his position as AS in the same city). So, I either need to find a non-magicky character that is willing to get involved with magic threads, or a reason for my little Pycon to get involved with something that isnt directly related to magic.
All in all, I'm very happy with my time in Mizahar so far. And as always, much props goes out to the Mods. Tarot, Liminal, Goss, Cayenne, Gillar, Colombina, you all make the world of Mizahar go 'round.

Hey everybody! Look at me! http://www.flickr.com/photos/unc-cfc-us ... otostream/Starting from the right, I'm the fourth guy with a shield, the one that says POLICE upside down. Yup. I will let you know, that day sucked. Understand, I'm not totally adverse to some physical activity. I'm not out of shape, I can run my mile and a half in under 11 minutes. But that day sucked. I Still, and that picture was taken 4 days ago, still have a bruise on my arm from one of the straps of that shield. Oh, also you see the people behind me? Those were marines. Carrying shotguns. Real ones, made out of metal. And you see how I'm not wearing a helmet? I totally got rushed, and hit so hard that my head rocked back and smacked right into my marine's shotgun. Fun! You can look through some other photos in that stream of different things that went on that day and the next for my base. But... I still dont really regret my decision to join, even if. Even if I have to do silly things that have absolutely no bearing on my real job in the Navy.

Well, my CS is up, my first post has been added, and I've started to get to know some of the regulars. My Mizahar adventure is underway. One thing I've really enjoyed so far is working with Cayenne on various little details about the Charoda. I'm not sure if its maybe her being nice to me, but so far everything that I've ventured forth about the Charoda she has agreed with. We've had some pretty similiar thoughts on them in regards to things that are not written down yet. Like the fact that the Charodae have no written language. To me, that just makes sense if you live underwater. But She agreed as well, and simply hadnt stated anywhere in the lore yet. She's also been kind enough to let me develop a couple little things. Like the idea of the Acquitors, which are basically Charodaen scouts/ambassadors. And Charodaen cartography, which mixes both their normal oral histories, song and dance to tell of dangers and paths. Of course, everyone has been super nice and helpful. Gillar let me know enough about Ravok that it is not the place for Ayla to show up first, though I definately want to make a character there. Goss has simply been a doll, being super-helpful all around. Same with Tarot, for pointing me in Cayenne's direction. And there is everyone else that I've talked with in the Chat that has been super friendly. So, after two days or so, I think I can safely say that I think I'll be sticking with Mizahar for as long as they'll let me stay.

I think the one thing that is really drawing me to Mizahar is Lore Creation. Its something I've always liked to do. I can remember my senior year of high-school. Me and a friend created an solar system for our D&D game. Multiple planets, 20+ nations, 5 custom races, ecosystems, planet diameters, moon orbits, some really crazy details. Josh did most of the mathy type of details, while I worked on the history, the pantheon, how the different nations behaved, ect. Fond memories of that. And I'm looking forward to maybe dipping my feet into the water of Mizahar. And specifically, the water-dwelling Charoda. There was something about that little thumbnail and short description in the Race List that instantly drew me to them. So, my head is already abuzz with ideas, and I'm just waiting to hear from some people before I hopefully can start contributing. Huzzah!
