I was obsessed with the Abhorsen Trilogy during my four years of high school. Sabriel was a beautiful, beautiful protagonist, and I will always love her dearly. And the cat. I love the cat.

The magic system of that world was perhaps the most interesting one I have come across. The ability to ring a set of bells in a bandolier to create different affects... Like, oh. my. gosh.

Frankly, I loved it. If I had never played a Metroid game, or watches Aliens, Sabriel would have, without a doubt, been the first object of a girl crush. She was, and actually still is, a favourite character of mine.

You guys are right, the third book is lacking. In fact, it is kind of, dare I say it, dull, when compared to the first and second. I still swallowed the words greedily however and grew all excited in some points when the action was picking up.

Anyway, to cap it off, the Abhorsen series will be right at the top of my all time favourite books. :) I'm so glad to have seen this topic and that others have enjoyed them as much, maybe even more, than I have.]]>

Wrinting is a dream, it's true, but it's most of all a shared dream :)]]>
