The Watch The men and women who ride the Cyphrus day and night risking their lives for family and home are among those most honored by the drykas. It is a harsh life of work, little pay at times, and all the more risky since it is their job to head out into dangerous situations and handle them before a threat to Endrykas could do any real harm. The drykas that call themselves apart of this hallowed faction are some of the best fighters among their clans, they need to be to survive out in the wilds, patrolling the borders as they do. Among the hierarchy are the Tavehk, the basic warriors, and the Rayvehk, hardened men at arms in charge of groups of men they have the pleasure of selecting from the ranks of Tavehk. At the top of the pyramid is the Sayaph, who for in years past has almost always been either a member of the Diamond clan or Topaz. Ranks in detail: Sayaph: Master of the Watch Requirements: + 90 Riding + 75 Weapon + 50 Webbing + 50 Leadership + 50 Horsemanship Extensive experience in the watch. Place also is only also open if the current title holder dies, one cannot simply retire from this position, but if circumstances are such that there has been betrayal, or questioning of the Sayaph's leadership, a battle to the death can be arranged upon agreement of both the Sayaph and the challenger. Benefits: 1/2 off Any watch related equipment. Work: In charge of all the Watch's funds, and responsible for paying everyone, and assembling people for the defense of Endrykas in special circumstances. Pay: + 10gm Rayvehk- Captains of the Watch +70 Riding +50 Weapon +30 Webbing +30 Leadership +30 Horsemanship Experience also required to rise in ranks, voted on by the existing Rayvehk and the Sayaph. Benefits: 1/3 off any Watch related equipment. Work: In charge of running patrols with your squad of 15 warriors, and checking the web regularly for threats. Pay: 7 gm- 10 gm Tavehk- (Basic Warriors) +50 Riding +30 Weapon +20 Horsemanship +20 Related Skill (i.e: Webbing, Navigation, Medicine) Benefits: A 20% discount, your pavilion gets a tax cut, and you get the honor of being a warrior of the Watch. Pay: 1 gm - 3 gm NPCS of The Watch (WIP) Ravorel Shiningedge (Sayaph) Physical discription: Standing tall at around 6'0, and covered in bulky rippling muscle, he strikes a fearsome form, and just a look at him shows why he got the position he currently holds for life. The air around him tingles with his commanding presences most whisper, but of course this could only be the hushed words of the captains to strike fear into the new warriors right? None really know the truth except those Rayvehk that deal with him to get their pay and disperse it amongst the others. His tanned fleshed mottled with scars and his long black hair seem to be his most distinguishing marks asides the brilliant white clothes he wears, and the massive great sword never seen not attached to his back and close at hand. A rather odd weapon to forge your position with, but none doubt his handiness with it out on the grasslands, at least those few that have witnessed him rip entire packs of glassbeaks into shreds before their very eyes that is.
