Taxidermy, Skinning, Butchering, Meat Preserving The tent beams and walls of The Spit Fire are littered with mounted beast heads, dried hides, skeletons, jars of organs, and tools of the taxidermy trade. The best of the best Drykas skinners and butchers are housed here, masters of the fine art of preserving hides and meats. Everything is scavenged from a beast's corpse and used to benefit the Drykas quality of life; leather for the leatherworkers, meat for the people and hunt assists, pride and honour for the hunters and skinners, organs and glands for healers and philterers, and the left over bones for carving into jewelry, weapons, or glyphs. Whenever Drykas Hunters go on a rewarding hunt, either the hunters themselves will gut, skin, and butcher the meat out in the wild; or a master skinner/butcher will bring their wagons of tools. It is important that the meat from a kill be cut very soon after death for this ensures the quality of the meat. A beast can also be brought back to the The Spit Fire to be stuffed and mounted as a symbol of pride for Drykas Hunters to hang in their pavilions. While there is a price charged for a taxidermist's work, if a renowned hunter who has proven their worth brings in a particularly rare or large game, it is considered an honour for the taxidermist to be given such an opportunity to stuff the hunter's prize.
