Hello.

I have been roleplaying for about seven years now. I started in chats on AOL, when I was twelve, and was addicted from the start. Shortly after, I introduced roleplaying to my friends and we would scribble our stories in notebooks during class. (It was very embarrassing when the teacher thought we were passing notes and threatened to read our role play in front of the class.) After I had told my friends, I fell out of roleplaying online. As the years went by I lost some friendships and fell out of roleplaying altogether. For months I’ve wanted to get back into the role play scene and today I finally put my foot down and decided to look for a place. Thanks to the ever wonderful Google, I found Mizahar.

I’ve browsed through the forums and everyone seems pretty friendly, I just hope everyone is friendly to me too.

I also hope my name doesn’t stick out. In the rules it says that our account name is our PC name and that our account names need to have a fantasy style to them. Even from my browsing I have seen many interesting names and some that I couldn’t pronounce. “Happy” isn’t exactly a fantasy type name and I feel like I should slap myself in the face.

Well, if your character can really get away with being called "Happy", I don't see why not! Come on, we even have a Rooster here.

But hello there, Happy! My name should be easy to pronounce (well, not my name. My character's. I like to draw the line between these things). I'm rather new around these parts as well, so let's learn together!

Welcome and well met. Your name sounds fine to me. I hope you have fun, meet lots of great people (they hang out in chat a lot - so be sure to introduce yourself there) and enjoy writing here :)

Welcome to Mizahar! I hope you enjoy your time here.

By the way, I think your name is fine too. I've met a person in real life named Happy, as well as a few whose name meant "happy" in their respective languages. Besides, it's actually pretty interesting for roleplay because your character's personality might be totally opposite of the name or he might try to live up to it all the time. Besides, it's nice and easy to remember, and that's saying something when many people's names sound similar or, as you noted, are very hard to figure out how to pronounce. :)
