Chimes and Bells

I've seen people refer to marking the passage of the day in chimes and bells. I couldn't find an explanation in the lore, and a Wikipedia search turned up bells being struck for hours. Are chimes then minutes, or what? I just wanted to know because I like using proper terminology in my posts.

Chimes are minutes... bells are hours. Its in the calendar post in the wiki and also in Timestamping, I think. :)
