Timestamping Clarification

Postby Ruebia on June 8th, 2013, 7:41 am

Hello and bother it all but I've noticed a bit of an error with the timestamping. Ive read up on the calender and the timestamping articles and i understand the way the year is split up but theres something thats not clicking. Here let me outline it below.

The calender says the seasons in correspondence to RL are split up like so:

Spring= March to May
Summer= June to August
Fall= September to November
Winter= December to February

And every season has 91 days except for Winter which has 92 to make up 365 days per year. But theres something thats confusing me and its making it hard for me to start timestamping my posts. See below:

March to May has 92 days
June to August also has 92 days
September to November has 91 days
December to February has 90 days

So if we go by the original 91/91/91/92 rule per season starting with Spring...

Spring would start on March 1st and end on May 30th
Summer would start on May 31st and end on August 29th
Fall would start on August 30th and end on November 28th
Winter would start on November 29th and end on February 28th

Should I timestamp according to those dates or was there something else worked out that I missed?

Forget real life month dates. The article is simply telling you the season of Spring (for example) starts in March, and will end in game at the end of May. The season has 91 days in the game. It doesn't matter how many days the months have in real life. Does that make sense, it's a difficult one to explain. The real life months don't exist in the game, you only timestamp by season, day, and year.
