Hi guys, I don't know what to say, so I'm going to fill out this handy questionaire thing.

1. Name - or what you'd like to be called! My name's Ember :) You can call me that. Or other things, if I know you mean me, I'll respond.
2. What sort of RP experience do you have if any? I was raised on tabletops like Tunnels and Trolls, Shadow Run, Gamma something or other... My dad collected tabletops, so I was playing them by the time I was 8 or 9. I soon got into mudding, rp-heavy. I've done a bit of play-by-post rp as well as chat rp and I've been a storyteller/GM for a number of tabletops.
3. How did you find us? A "I desperately need some quality, story-driven rp" google search
4. What sort of RP style is your favorite? I -love- intense character development with flawed characters, some natural humor, maybe some romance, all very real qualities even if the setting or situation or some abilities are totally unreal. I love walking away from a story elated or heart-broken or suspicious because it was just that engaging.
5. What do you like to write about - not write about? I love to write about flawed people. I love stories that happen to have non-sappy romance. I love writing things about thoughts and interactions and injuries and healing.
I don't like writing straight action. I love action when it's well placed, but if that's all there is, I can get bored a bit quickly.
6. Whats your favorite thing about Mizahar so far? All the lore! It's kinda blowing my mind. Also, the races. It took me like half an hour of reading and weighing and hmming to choose what I wanted to play.
7. What, if anything, has frustrated you about Mizahar so far? This is going to sound silly. The BBC coding has frustrated me. I know it isn't mandatory but if I'm told I can customize something, then I will, even if it's a tiny change. I figured it out though, so yay!
8. What would you like out of the mizahar experience? Moving, interactive stories with characters I adore
9. Is there anything you'd like to see expanded? I..I don't even know right now.
10. Anything else you want to talk about? Uhm..I'm an artist first and foremost, one who thought she wanted to be a writer for a great length of time in my teenagehood. I've since decided that I prefer combining my two loves into sequential art. So..that's my shtick.
I'm really excited about this place. I spent most of today working on my character sheet (and trying to make bbc code work) and I've been craving some substantial story rp for a really long time.
Yes..so on so forth.

Welcome!

Glad to see another human I can feed upon!

"I desperately need some quality, story-driven rp"
I call shenanigans! I was curious so I ran it through google and nothing came up! Ah-ha!  :p

I agree with you that straight-up action scenes can get really boring. There's only so many ways you can throw a punch (I'm sure all the action RPers are chewing on their keyboards at this comment). I find healing scenes the same way, but I'm a sucker for character development and dramatic scenes about cultures clashing.

You might find more search results by using the keyword "BBCode" since that's its technical term; I think it's misspelled in the guide. I'm used to HTML coding and I find BBCode extremely annoying. It's less customizable(than HTML), VERY clunky, and over(to a fault) simplified for the laymen... Urgh it makes me wanna tear my hair out! My suggestion for getting used to it is experiment with one feature at a time; If you go about putting a bunch of code together, you won't know what responds to what...not sure if that made sense...but, yeah, I hope it helped~

So, you're an artist? Did you draw your avatar? It's really expressive!

And my personal suggestion for getting used to Miz is to take time to examine each city's forum. There are high population forums and others that are more close-knit. Find a city that will match both Ember and Silverrain!

Thanks for the welcome! And all the advice! It's very appreciated.

I did draw my avatar. Thanks :)

Pretty much I could've just boiled this all down to thank you, but there you have it.

Also, yay story drama! I mean, don't get me wrong, a good, bloody battle can lead to some amazing developments, but yeah.
