On Royalty or Nobility

Postby Maximilian on August 25th, 2013, 8:51 pm

Good evening, as you can probably guess I am new to this site though I do have some role-playing experience on other sites. I find the ideas on this site very interesting and am strongly considering joining but I still need to settle on an idea for a character.

One idea I'm considering is a son of a noble or royal individual, preferably human although I am open to other races too. Is there any established noble or royal NPCs I could run this idea with? Alternatively, I have seen there are some cities with no description on the Wiki, would I be allowed to invent some political background information / characters for one of those if no suitable NPC exists currently?

Thanks in advance,

Max

The closest you could get to royalty in humanity is probably the three houses in Lhavit, the Dusk, Dawn and Twilight houses . . . Or perhaps the Kenashian dynasties, but those are less royalty and more pre-civil war plantation owners. There are powerful families of humanity in many, perhaps even most cities where humans hold the majority sway, but they often do not have the same 'authority by bloodline' that royalty seems to have.

Other cities have noble families of their own. For instance, Isurians have many dedicated houses and families, including one from which royalty stems. Eypharians certainly have a culture of nobility, and right by bloodlines, but one I have not read too much about. You should be able to find more info on them in the lore, regardless.

There may be others aside from this, but they escape me at the moment.
