Hi *waves at everyone*
Well I’m not really new – I started my character a while ago but after a few posts RL pulled me away - now I’m back, hopefully for a long stay. So here’s a stab at answering Gossamer’s list of questions:
1. Name - or what you'd like to be called!
Guido’s fine as I’ve played more than one character with that name – real name’s Paul and that’s fine too.
2. What sort of RP experience do you have if any?
Over 20 years....usual D&D type stuff on an off...plus:
I started in the 80s with many snail mail games (although they were then shiny and new and called Play By Post) – a wonderful era in gaming...
In the 90s I continued with some of these games but also spent many hours on early PC RPGs
In the 2000s I had a brief encounter with Interactive fiction, a small and unsatisfactory flirtation with MUDs and a growing love affair with Play By Post Games (Including modding) ...oh and I played Warhammer, Magic and loads of board games with my son....
3. How did you find us?
Originally just by searching for new games on the internet after Tazlure closed
4. What sort of RP style is your favourite?
Hmmm...not sure, I like trying out different styles...I prefer plot driven threads & posts steeped in the mythos of the scenario, rather than generic threads that could happen anywhere, if that makes sense?
5. What do you like to write about - not write about?
I’m fairly eclectic – I like offbeat humour, political double-dealing, mystery and puzzle-solving... not much I dislike
6. What’s your favourite thing about Mizahar so far?
Friendly people, professionalism, potential for future development
7. What, if anything, has frustrated you about Mizahar so far?
Some parts of the lore/wiki need further development for newcomers but I know from experience how time consuming that is...
8. What would you like (to get) out of the mizahar experience?
A fun time, some creative writing..
9. Is there anything you'd like to see expanded?
As 7 above
10. Anything else you want to talk about?
Not now...but no doubt much at a later stage...
I’m off to read up on all the things I’ve missed in recent months and then I’ll get into full swing!
