Help with Pricing

So. I've never been good with math, and this is no different.
I know the price conversions are 1GM = 10SM = 100CM.
But that's all I know. I try to work things out but it always seems wrong ._.

My character just bought a scarf for 1SM and 5CM. So taking that away
from 21GM.. I'm not sure how to do it. I blame this on my horrible math
teachers all through high school...
( they hardly taught, because they couldn't control the classroom. it was mostly yelling )

Thanks for the help in advance. And is there a website or something along those
lines that could help do this for me so I don't have to sound like an uneducated
little kid next time a problem arises? :c

I have the same problems sometimes... What I do is put the money I have in the unit I need. (21GM = 20 GM 10 SM = 20 GM 9 SM 10 CM) and then it's easier to deduct the prices.

20GM 9SM 10CM - 1SM 5CM = 20GM 8SM 5CM

If the following helps you, then yay! But if it confuses you, please just ignore it.

If you want to make it even easier (assuming U.S. currency is easy for you), think of it like this: A gold miza is like a dollar. A silver miza is like a dime (which are silver colored), and a copper miza is like a penny (which are coated with copper. Convenient!).

So a silver miza and a copper miza would be the equivalent of 15 cents, or 0.15 dollars/GM. So you can also think of silver and copper mizas as decimals.

Say, as in Syveris's example, you end up with 20.85 GM.

The number before (to the left of) the decimal is the number of gold mizas you have.

The single digit just to the right of the decimal is the number of silver mizas you have.

The digit just after that (two places after the decimal) is the number of copper mizas.

If it helps, you can convert between different types of mizas and this decimal notation, and then just do all your math with decimals

The decimal part is actually pretty interesting Alea.

I'll def. try to remember both ways next time ^^'
