'Additional Income' as Thief

Postby Ruroc on August 30th, 2014, 5:06 am

From the price list description of the thief job: "Greater rewards can be sought through individual threads."

Does this mean I can earn additional Mizas through roleplaying thievery outside of wages? Pickpocketing, burglarizing, and then selling and receiving the money as loot at the end of the thread? Outside of Job Threads, of course.

Yes Veryn it is possible to earn additional income as the note implies. It is at the discretion of the area ST though, you should run any heist ideas by them first because they need to be possible in the domain. Also the actual Loot gained is up to the person grading the thread so you should keep in mind to be very vague about the quality of the item or number of mizas you steal.

Ps. Sorry for any typos I am replying from my phone!

'Additional Income' as Thief

I think it would also depend strongly on your skill level(s). For example, a master in Larceny might be able to steal close to £100, possibly more, depending on the victim described. A novice, however, might only be getting five mizas, or even just coppers or silver pieces. A novice also houldnt be going after the richer people in the population.

And there's always the chance that you might get caught! I know that in Ravok, I like people to discuss with me or Abstract their basic plan before they do anything illegal with rewards, so like Ink said, maybe throw a PM in the direction of your ST just as a courtesy "heads up". Also remember you still get points for failing, and we love seeing characters in hardship, rather than reaping the benefits every time :p

Good luck and happy... stealing!
